Partner Comprehensive Essay

          A soul is composed of years of knowledge processed through an entire lifetime, no words could possibly describe them within a simple page, especially with one as complex, yet beautiful as Baek Seorin's. Born on December 5, 2001, a prodigy was brought into the Neo Elemental Republic. Deemed as absolute perfection, Seorin lived an average life, nothing different from the person right next to her.
          As a politician's daughter, it's as if a whole blueprint is laid out in front of her for her entire life. But what happens if you don't fit the mold exactly? Although she is well aware of her undoubtedly advanced water shifting abilities, she finds herself wanting more in life than what she is given. After being labeled by the media, it's built up validation issues from a young age, causing her to struggle finding more things to make her unique.
          Ultimately, she just wants to be known as someone other than the water leader's daughter, the next in line for the throne. She puts in endless hours into her studies, hobbies, and caring for others. She goes the extra mile just to make a name for herself, by herself. This validates not only her insane work ethic, but sense of self worth. Although people may already think highly of her, she believes it's not for the right reason, leading her to want to take extra steps in being known for more than just a water prodigy.
          Whenever she's afraid of anxious, it stems from her never being alone in life, dependent on others for security. When she was facing one of her biggest fears, clowns, she had to have someone next to her, clinging onto them for dear life. Although this could be seen as a bad thing, a lot of good comes from it as well. Having to rely on others isn't bad, and she makes sure to tell people that. She trusts others, she finds comfort not only in herself, but the people around her. To say the least, she lives a secure life, one many others do not have.
          The way you treat others is the way you want to be treated, so she makes sure to be a pillar for all of those surrounding her, whether it be her best friends, or her own family. She may not see it, but many people's lives would be crumbling without her support and she provides strength for many. Due to considerably good upbringings, she is able to be there for others, even if they aren't there for her. Sometimes she may push it a little far, but overall it is a desirable trait.
          All in all, Baek Seorin is too indescribable to put into words. She's a sensitive, yet hardheaded fighter who works for the recognition she deserves, while still being able to balance the rest of her life. There's no doubt that she makes the world vibrant with the energy she radiates, bringing color to other's that could only see gray. What makes it even better is that she's unaware of it, unaware of the fact that her sheer existence is the reason people smile. Baek Seorin is way more than just the prodigy the media portrays her as, she is beauty in a person- and not just in appearance. It's a once in a lifetime experience encountering someone with a soul as precious as hers, and you have to make sure to keep her close, treasure that soul and never take it for granted.
