"You can't be in here!" a nurse yelled over her shoulder, frantically handling the medical supplies.
"I can help, just let me help!" Aera cried out, watching Jihyeon's eyes slowly beginning to fall heavy, rolling back to only reveal the whites.
It was traumatic.
Jisung stared as his mom's chest fell up and down inconsistently, sharp and pained. The fog in her breathing mask covered her face as her birds nest of hair was tangled and all over the place.
The monitor displayed her heart rate, reaching high highs and low lows.
"Please let her help!" Seorin panicked, hearing the beeping intensify.
"And what is she going to do? We've been doing hydrotherapy for years, nothing has helped!" the doctor fumed, pressing a pool of water onto her chest. It barely flowed silver, indicating that their healing wasn't powerful enough.
Seorin noticed Jisung's anxieties, taking his hand into hers. His fingers tangled with hers tightly, feeling her thumb run over the back of it.
"Have you any sense?! They're from the moon tribe, this is the healing they need!" Miyeon argued over the loud sounds of machines.
All the nurses eyed each other in the room, on the same exact page.
"Her insurance doesn't allow it, J-Jiwoon doesn't allow it."
All of their expressions hardened, displeased with the mention of his father. Distraught, Jisung furrowed his eyebrows, approaching the medics at work.
"What do you mean Jiwoon won't allow it?" he hissed, staring into the doctor's face with blood red irises.
He gulped under his mask, looking up at the younger boy who was radiating with anger.
"W-We haven't been able to treat her with the best practices because he's threatened our jobs, all of us!" he croaked, refocusing his attention on Jihyeon.
Without a second thought, Jisung pulled him by the collar, pushing him out of the way.
"Get the fuck out, you've all purposely been watching her die." he spoke lowly, yet more intimidating before towards all of the nurses. Hurriedly, they scurried out of the room, leaving the four of them.
"Mrs. Baek, please help." Miyeon pleaded, still seeing her body tremble hooked up to tubes and wires.
Aera approached her bedside, reaching her hand out onto her chest. Jisung clung onto Seorin, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind as he shook uncontrollably. Miyeon assisted her from the other side of the bed, beginning to take water into her own hands.
"No, I don't need any help. I can only save her by myself." Aera spoke, making her eyebrows upturn in confusion.
"Wait." Seorin interjected, glancing at the moon that spilled through the half closed curtains of the room.
