"W-what?"
Hesitation is evident in his eyes. Naguguluhan na ako sa pinapakita n'ya. Ano ba ang ibig n'yang sabihin? What should he see? Why did it became his fault? What does he mean?!
"Addie, I can.." He cleared his throat and looked away.
"You can what?" Kunot-noong tanong ko.
"I can see things."
"What?!" Takang tanong ko.
"I'm so confused. What do you mean?" Tanong ko.
"Remember clearly, Addie. The 'cause of our break-up."
"I can see things, Addie! But what I don't understand is that it only worked for two people!" Natigilan naman ako sa sinabi n'ya.
"You w-what? You see things?"
"Yes! And it only worked for you and my sister! But, what happened? I lost both of you." Sabi n'ya at ginulo ang buhok.
"Hailey?" Naguguluhang tanong ko. Nilingon naman n'ya ako at nagsalita.
"No, I h-had an o-older sister."
"I'm sorry." All this time I thought he just had a lame reason.
"W-what happened t-to your sister?" Nag-aalangang tanong ko.
"She met a c-car accident. And it's all my fault! It's all my freaking fault!"
"Walang may gusto nung nangyari."
I looked intently at his eyes and just listen to whatever it is that he wants to say.
"But I did nothing!
"Hey, don't blame yourself. You're still young back then and of course you didn't know how to deal with it." Pang-aalo ko sa kan'ya.
"I'm sorry, Addie. I should've told you about it before." Sabi n'ya.
"If only I told you about it before, then I would have not lost you." His voice cracked before he even finished his sentence.
"B-but, we wouldn't b-be who we are t-today if you didn't l-let me go."
"But, I l-lost y-you."
"Well, w-we became better p-persons."
"I'm sorry."
"No, I'm sorry."
"For?" Tanong n'ya.
