Chapter 35

Two days after we came back to the Philippines I already have a shoot for a new brand. I'm getting my makeup done while the makeup artist is admiring my face.

"Ang ganda talaga, Miss Addison." She keeps praising my face for minutes now.

"Parang walang pores! Siguro may boyfriend ka na 'no? Model? Actor? Singer? Ay, 'diba si Doc Illustre singer 'yon?! S'ya ba? S'ya?"

"An architect." I said and smiled before scrolling on my phone.

"Archi- s'ya ba 'yung rumored boyfriend mo after doon kay Engineer?! Architect.... Ford?! S'ya ba?! 'Yung gwapo na may ari ng Ford Builders?!" Sunod-sunod na tanong n'ya.

"Totoo palang kayo! Ano ba 'yan! 'Di na kasi ako nanonood ng showbiz news e'. Rejected pala ang mga super gwapong nilalang sa showbiz e'." The one doing my hair said.

I just smiled and looked at my reflection in the mirror. "May picture kayo, Miss Addison?" Pahabol na tanong ng nag-aayos ng buhok ko.

"Yeah." I smiled and showed her our picture on my phone.

Natawa naman ako nang halos lahat ng tao sa dressing room ay nakitingin. "Ampogi, Miss Addison!"

"Hala! Ang gwapo!"

"In fairness!"

All of them gave him different compliments and praises for his good-looks. Natawa na lang ako at binawi ang cellphone ko. Bumalik naman na sila sa ginagawa pero ang makeup artist ay hindi natapos ang pagtatanong.

"Non-showbiz ang nais. Ayaw mo kay Doc Illustre? Ang gaganda ng mga kanta n'ya e. Maiinlove na yata ako!" Kinikilig na sabi ng makeup artist.

"That's my friend's boyfriend." I said.

"Talaga, Miss Addison?" Tanong n'ya.

"Yeah."

"Non-showbiz 'yung friend mo?" She asked.

"No."

We started the shoot after my makeup was done. I probably changed clothes 4 times and I get touch-ups every now and then. They told me that my photos will be on different billboards in Manila so I have to change.

After the shoot, I went to the gym to attend my workout session before visiting Hailey in the hospital. I'm glad she's really getting better and being more cooperative with her doctors. As far as I know her appointment with the Phyciatrist is 2 hours so probably after my workout she's already there. I just want to check-up on her since I don't know if Michael is able to do that especially with his work.

"Hi, Ate." Hailey greeted me when I came in to Dra. Czarina's clinic.

"Oh, hey! Addison." Dra. Czarina also greeted me.

Dra. Czarina and I became friends when Dahlia was just 8 'cause back then she always gets diarrhea so we need to get her checked and it just so happened that before Dra. Czarina became a Phyciatrist she was a Pediatrician. Ewan ko ba, rito kay Dra. Czarina kung bakit pinahirapan nanaman ang sarili ng ilang taon para mag-aral ng Phycology.

After that I went to Ford Builders for my meeting with Harry regarding the branch in Pampanga. Our meeting was fast because Harry didn't really tease me that much so we ended not shouting at each other. When I was scheduled to have a meeting with him I almost refused 'cause the thought of fighting the whole time crossed my mind but atleast we did ended well.

I had another schedule so after that I didn't bother to look for Michael probably because he's busy. We haven't even seen each other for two days after New York. When the elevator opened, I walked inside, looking at the floor and pressed basement.
