Damien's POV
"Papa!" Daughn screamed from outside my office. I looked up from my computer and smiled when I saw Vaughn walking all five of our dogs into my office. "My babies," I chuckled as I lifted my son off the floor and embraced him.
"You look annoyed. With whom? You want me to kick someone's ass," Vaughn asked as he let go of the dogs' leashes before kissing my lips.
"I just miss Parker," I sighed. "I don't like him being away for so long. It's making me anxious."
"He comes home in two weeks, though. Worry not, my love," my husband said sweetly.
"I know... I just can't stop thinking about him being kidnapped again."
"I completely understand, and that memory still haunts me to this day, but we must remind ourselves that Parker is much older, stronger, and smarter. If anyone dares to touch him— If someone even dares to look at him oddly, he will handle them. Plus, we have our most dangerous guards watching over him."
"Yeah..." I mumbled against my son's head while he grabbed my cellphone and opened the camera app.
"I miss Parker too," he said softly before taking a picture of him and myself. "Uncle Keith's house wasn't very fun without him."
Vaughn pouted at our son and then turned his sympathetic look onto me. "We should call him."
"Now? What if he's busy? The day's only just begun," I mentioned, squinting at the clock above my door.
"Where are your glasses?" My husband chuckled.
"I don't know and I don't care. I don't want them," I said simply, kissing Daughn's cheek as he took another selfie of us.
"Damyin, you need your glasses."
"Your mom needs my glasses," I said, making my son gasp. Vaughn rolled his eyes and gripped my chin, leaning closely into my face. "Put your glasses on..." he whispered prior to mouthing: "or no more sex before work."
"Babe, that's unfair," I groaned.
"What's unfair," Daughn asked.
"Daddy said he'll stop giving me treats in the morning if I don't put on my glasses," I answered.
"I want treats in the morning."
Vaughn's eyes grew and he shook his head. "I give Papa gross treats. He likes nasty stuff."
"Oh...?" Our son mumbled.
"Yeah. Really nasty stuff," I added, making Vaughn blush.
"Sh-shut up," he stammered before opening one of my desk drawers and grabbing my glasses' case. "Put these on and let's call Parker."
With a dramatic, childish way of slouching back in my chair and rolling my eyes, I put my glasses on, and Vaughn giggled at me before kissing my lips. "You're so cute~!"
"I'm not supposed to be cute. I'm supposed to be scary."
"You're scarily cute," my husband said bubbly. "Like, you look like a muscular businessman—maybe teacher...but you have so much power and fear circulating around you."
"I want to be muscular and have power too," Daughn whined. Vaughn and I immediately began to bury our son in smooches and nuzzles, and he laughed as he did. "Baby, you may not be so muscular now, but you have all the power you want and then some," I told him. "You could tell anyone here to do something, and they'd do it because you're their boss."
