broken

Everyone that I saw just seemed to stare. Emma, Mike and Stacy have occasionally said that I’m quite pretty; but never in my life have I ever gotten a reaction like this. There were even people coming up to me and just giving me hugs, I even got a few congratulations. That was a little weird though.

Since everyone was paying a lot of attention to me Nathan couldn’t help but have a little glance, this wasn’t the best idea. I noticed him looking at me and when he looked away I could see almost a pain in his face, like it was killing him to not be with me.

Maybe there was something else; something I don’t know about… that is stopping him being with me. Maybe it had something to do with the blue sparks, maybe they were dangerous.

The questions keep running through my brain, they had kept at bay for a while but now it’s getting out of hand. So much has happened and yet there were no answers. Maybe I should try talking to him again, and no excuses this time… and definitely no kissing.

I packed my bag fast enough to just see him going down the stairs, I ran after him, yet again. But it was almost like he sensed me. He started running, and as he was going down the last flight of stairs, he jumped halfway but he was in too much of a hurry and slipped slightly. He tried to balance his landing but ended up making it worse. He crippled on the floor in pain. He squirmed and went to clutch his ankle. ‘NATHAN!’ I screamed out, and ran down the stairs. Just from the first sight I could tell that his ankle was broken, it was at the wrong angle and the bone looked out of place against his slightly tanned skin. I must have looked pale, even from a young age I had never liked the look of anything broken, sharp, or bleeding for that matter.
