AN: Rowen's out for without the beanie.

I woke up today and got dressed, and ready for the day. I walked into the kitchen and made toast to have with my cereal and milk. Darry walked in a minute later making his own breakfast. We are both taking the day off work so I can go get my cast off my arm and make sure my ribs are healed and everything. Darry and I are the only ones up, so that helps eating and getting out the door without someone stopping us.

"You ready?" Darry asks me drying his dishes.

"Yeah, I just need to grab my shoes and I'm ready." I said.

"Wait. Did you take your medicine?" he asks.

"No, I will take them and then get my shoes." I said.

"Right answer missy." Darry replied pointing a finger at me.

After I take 2 pills and get my shoes on we leave the house and head to the hospital. Once we arrived we checked in at the front desk and then sat in the waiting room to be called by the doctor. After waiting for a few minutes my name was called and we followed Dr. Howard into one of the rooms.

"Okay, I will check on your ribs and head before I cut your cast off." Dr. Howard said. She began with my head and was feeling for any bumps and checking my eyes.

"So your head is fine, so you shouldn't have a concussion. Now I need you to lift up your shirt so I can look at your ribs." she says.

I lift up my shirt where you can see light bruising, but is doesn't hurt.

"So, I see there is light bruising. I am going to push in different areas and feel around to make sure it is all healed in the inside." Dr. Howard says before she began poking around. She waits to see if I flinch or wince in pain.
"Well, it looks like your all healed and you don't have pain anywhere I didn't feel do you?" she asks.

"No, I don't have any pain." I said honestly.

"Good. Now I will just cut off your cast and then feel your wrist to make sure the bone is healed properly." she said and began getting stuff out that she would need.
She got the saw to cut the cast off. I was freaking out now and Darry came over and stood in front of me and laid my head on his chest so I didn't have to look at was Dr. Howard is doing. One of Darry's hands was on the back of my head holding it to his chest, while the other one ran up and down my back.

"She's done Ro." Darry whispered in my ear. I sat up and my cast was off.

"You can go wash your arm in the sink over there and then I will get you a brace to help you keep it supported. You will only have to wear it if you are going to be using that wrist a lot." Dr. Howard said and left to go get a brace.

Darry was still standing next to be pulled me into his side and let me lean my head on his side. It was a gesture of comfort.

"I'm glad everything went well. You will have more freedom now that you aren't tied down with your cast and concussion. I saw the light bruising on the ribs, but that is normal. You've seen us after rumbles or Dally after fights with Tim." Darry said.

"Yeah. I'm glad I'm all healed." I said happily.

Then Dr. Howard walked back in with a brace and started putting it on my wrist.
"How does it feel." she asked.

"It fits perfectly." I said.

"That's good. There is velcro straps to help tighten and loosen it. Your free to go, just sign out at the front desk and you can go home." Dr. Howard said.

"Thank you." Darry and I said to Dr. Howard.

Once Darry and I signed out and left we stopped to get lunch at a pizza place and took 5 pizzas home. We got 2 cheese, 1 pepperoni, 1 sausage, and 1 veggie pizza. Darry's is the veggie one just so you know. We arrived home and Darry got out and came to my side and opened the door and took the pizzas out of my hand so I can get out of the truck safely. I closed my door and opened the screen door for Darry to walk through and put the pizzas in the kitchen.
