Chapter 15

Max was dumbstruck. He wasn't sure what happened,

"Was this also a trap?" Max thought.

"Well what are you waiting for!? Come here Max. I have heard so much about you!" it said.

"What if I don't want to?" Max asked.

"Well then you just might be responsible for your dear friends' lives. So why don't you come over. Now." It said as it's eyes narrowed with annoyance.

Before Max could even tell them to run, the creature had already incarcerated Edlyn and Urswine. Before they knew what happened, both of them were lifted up into the air. They felt a strong force holding their necks, preventing them from breathing. Before they realised what was happening, they found themselves slowly floating beside the creature. Edlyn could see it's hungry smile as it looked at all of them.

"Now Max. Shall we try that again?" It said calmly.

Max racked his brains for a while before he finally thought of giving in. He was sure that he couldn't escape from the creature. Max walked down the second crater and sat on the ground, in front of the creature.

"Well finally! We can talk. I have been waiting for so long." It said.

"Who are you? How do you know we were here? Where is the first coven?" Max fired his questions.

"Well calm down. Let me speak first. As you can see I am in charge here." It said calmly.

"Truth be told. There isn't such a thing as the first coven. Really. They are all a heap of armours and clothes controlled by me. All of them are puppets." It said proudly.

"How can you control them? Aren't you sealed away?" Max asked.

"Yes I am. But that's the thing Max. Reya must have told you already that I have a Blood Emperor mutation. But I am sure she didn't tell you what race I am. No one in the entire first continent knows what I am. Hahahaha." It said with a murderous grin.

"Reya? How do you know that? What are you?" Max asked. He was scared. The being was toying with him all along. It knew he was here and it also knew he talked to Reya. Just what was this creature?

"Hahaha. Max there are many things that you don't know. I am not from the first continent obviously and I am from the spirit race. But you knew that. I am called a Psychic Spirit. In the second continent, there are so few of us but we are one of the strongest spirit races to be alive. After I got my mutation, I got significantly stronger and you know what I did?" It said proudly.

Max didn't answer and waited for it to continue.

"I turned all my brethrens into my blood servants!" It said with a creepy grin.

Max was feeling uncomfortable. He could feel it's pitch black eyes burning a hole through his head.

"And then one of my non-blood servant brethren tried to kill me and my servants which eventually led me to escape the second continent. But to my utter annoyance, He followed me to the first continent and sealed me in this god forsaken cave for almost close to 10,000 years!? Do you know how painful that is? But the thing is, I learnt something when I was stuck here. I could still use my powers! In the beginning I could barely move things here and there but after a thousand years of solitude and focus, I could finally transfer my consciousness outside of the cave and THAT is how I could control all those puppets." It said with pride.

"Why am I here now?" Max asked. He has learned a few things but he wasn't sure what it wanted from him.

"Oh that. It's simple. I have been stuck here for god knows how long and I want to be free. I lured many travellers into this cave, in hopes of finding a suitable and powerful host and now, I finally have one! I have been watching you for so long Max and I am going to use you." It said with excited and sinister smile.
