Chapter 27.2

"What do we have here! A peasant has managed to get the game! Are you sure you didn't steal the console from a shop?" Max's opponent sneered.

Hearing this, Max just shrugged. Throughout his entire life everyone has been judging him. He can't be bothered by another person judging him.

Previously, he had selected a battle between an C Rank Evolver. He wanted to test out his new abilities.

Currently the arena that he was in looked similar to a gladiator however, it looked extremely futuristic. The walls and floor were blue and had a translucent texture. It looked super ghostly and clean.

While Max was observing his surroundings, he heard the timer hit zero, signalling him that it was time to fight.

He immediately thought of holding a sword and in the next second, a sword appeared in his hands. A while ago, Max had read the tutorial and manual, which had told him that during a battle he could just think of a weapon and it would appear in his hands.

"It seems it really does work. Sadly, I can't bring in my katana. If I did I would be super powerful here hehe." Max smirked.

He got in stance while his opponent, the man in the black armour, ran towards him at an unbelievable speed.

"I think you don't understand. I am far better than you! A peasant like you can't possibly beat me!" the man said.

Max readied himself as the man quickly approached him.

"He doesn't seem to be using any weapons... What is he trying to achieve?" Max wondered.

5 meters... 4 meters... 3 meters... 2 meters...

When the man reached approximately a meter away from Max, he threw a dagger at Max.

"What..." He said with shock.

Max quickly deflected the blade away from him. However, when his eyes tried to find the man, he realised that his opponent was nowhere to be found! Just as he was wondering what was happening, he felt a strange sensation coming from behind him.

Max quickly rolled to the left and sure enough that was a medium sized crater on the ground. It seems the man he was fighting isn't an average C-Ranked Evolver.

"Not bad for a peasant."

Max was still trying to figure out how his opponent managed to keep his weapon hidden from him. That was when he remembered something.

"This technique... is similar to [Mirage Blades]. This guy must be from the Davis family!" Max realised.

"In that case, I might as well play with him." He said with a smirk.

Max thought of a dagger in his mind and almost immediately his sword disappeared into a pair of daggers.

He quickly charged at the man in front of him. Previously he had learnt [Emperor's Sword] which allows him to move his melee weapons at an unbelievable speed. It seems he could only use the System's Passive abilities in the console.

Max immediately jabbed at the man, who managed to block his attack with a dagger. Both of them continued to exchange blows at an unbelievable speed. Countless sparks flew as their blades collided with each other. It seems the man was struggling...

"This... How is he able to block and attack me so fast? I have never seen such a knifeplay..." the man thought in shock.

Soon, the man was covered in cuts and was losing. His health bar in the game was barely dangling by a thread. It was very close to hitting zero.

"Stop! I surrender!" the man said.

Hearing this, Max immediately fell back. Normally when there is a battle, there are two ways one can end the battle. One was to beat your opponent until his health bar in the console has reached zero or until he has surrendered. However, if one's health bar were to be hit zero, they would lose the match and would have a 24 hours cooldown before being able to join the game again. For this reason, many would rather surrender.

Max watched as their avatars disintegrated from the arena. He was now alone standing in front of the lobby.

<Ding! Match results:>

<F-Rank(#2162) vs C-Rank(#1021)>

<F-Rank(#2162) won!>

"Wait! The game shows others my rank! This is not good!" Max said with surprise.

Meanwhile, on another planet called Casture, a muscular brown haired man angrily got out of the God's Console.

"I got beaten by trash! An F-ranked evolver killed me!" the man said with rage.

The muscular man got out of his pod with anger.

"I'm going to find him and make him pay! How dare a F Rank attack me!"

The man continued spraying insults at Max.

...

Meanwhile, Max was still inside the pod, fighting various C-Ranked matches. So far, he had won all 10 matches that he took part in. However, many of his opponents were extremely annoyed and unsure about the match results.

Since, Max's information shows that he is an F-Rank many were skeptical if there was an error in the console.

The company who made this started to receive multiple calls regarding this issue caused by Max. Unknown to him, many wanted to investigate him. However, none of his information was shown anywhere.

After another round of fighting, an energized Max exited the pod.

"Sleeping and training inside the pod makes me more energized! At this rate I can train myself 24/7! It's a shame I can't use the system inside the console.." Max said with excitement.

It was 4 am in the morning. He still had a few hours before heading to school.

"It seems I may have to head to the Wildlands." Max said with excitement.
