Chapter 18: aviation.
Months passed and now I'm down to my last shift here.
After more than a decade of experiences here, I'm finally leaving.
"Last daaaayyyyy!!" I smiled and nodded.
"Yes, I won't see your ugly face anymore," I rolled my eyes at him.
"What if I want to follow you?" He raised a brow at me.
Humalukipkip ako "walang kukuha sayo 'don."
"I did not understand that but I know it's something that's hateful."
"Joking aside, what time are you finishing?"
"4pm" simple niyang sagot.
"Let's meet the day after tomorrow? Before I completely leave?" I looked at him straight in the eyes.
"Why not today?" His brows met.
"It's my last day, I'm taking a 36 hour shift. Even though it's not still enough to say goodbye to all my patients." I got sad by the thought of it.
"You're that energetic? If it was me I'll take the shortest shift, you're insane!" Medyo OA siya ah.
"You're not leaving so definitely you won't understand." After that I reached my floor and bid farewell to him. He just raised his hand mid way as a sign of goodbye.
"Doc," The filipino nurse smiled at me as soon as I reached the nurse station.
"Good morning," I greeted, wearing a big smile on my face. "Can I have the charts?"
"Last day mo na, Doc?" She asked as she gave me the charts.
I nodded in return, "oo, finally after ten years," I chuckled.
