Chapter 17: Pregnant? Who? She?

"Hi babe," bati niya doon sa asawa niya. I'm sure it's him, but why do I feel like it's also not him?

"Hi," her husband kissed her cheek, because of that I saw his face... but it's not him... it's not him, but how? Paano?

Lalapit sana ako sakanila kaso nga lang may biglang tumawag sa 'kin.

"Doc! Emergency room,"

Kahit gaano ko kagustong makita nang malapitan iyong mukha nung asawa niya, I can't think twice and hesitate to put my patients as my number one priority. They're always first.

"C-coming," sambit ko bago sinilayan pa ng isang beses ang dalawa bago umalis.

"Fuck, why is it not him?" I whispered to myself. Why do these questions keeps on adding. The worst is that these questions never got any answer, or they have and I'm just scared to find out.

"I'll eat your food if you won't eat. You keep on whispering by yourself, do you see something that I can't see?" pota, kabigla naman 'tong si Yejun, ee. Luminga-linga pa sa paligid.

"Edi kainin mo. Epal." Pambabara ko.

"Can you please be a little nice? Is being nice to me killing you?" He raised a brow at me.

"Yes." Madiin kong sambit at pinanlakihan siya ng mata.

"Crazy," he whispered. Hindi ko na pinakelaman 'yon. Bahala siya diyan basta ako may sariling problema.

"Do you have a problem?" Yejun raised a brow at me. I'm on my way home when he volunteered to take me home. I don't always bring my car, I have a schedule that I follow, at least there's one less car on the roads.

"What if I say yes?" I also raised a brow at me.

"All ears," he said casually as he drove away from the hospital.

"Let me rant in tagalog," I softly said at him.

"Okay, even though I won't understand it."

"Shut up, I still haven't forgotten about the day you freaking spoke hangul to me while we were taking a test. I fucking did not understand a thing you said, I was just lucky I passed." I rolled my eyes at him.

"So you hold grudges, huh?"

"I do." I said with gritted teeth.

"So what's our problem?"

"Yejun, am I bad at listening? At understanding?" I genuinely asked. Tinignan ko pa siya bago ibinalik ang tingin ko sa bintana.

"You want an honest answer?" He said, looking straight on the road.

I just nodded, knowing that he saw me. Also nervous what answer he'll give me.
