Chapter 23

Chapter 23: back home.

"Welcome aboard ma'am," abot tengang ngiti ni Chloe may halo pang pagkabigla 'yon.

I wasn't expecting to see her! First-time kong makasakay sa flight niya and it's from Incheon to Manila!

"Gago," bulong ko before I walked past her. I can feel the urge that she wanted to curse back at me but she can't because she's at work right now. Professionalism above all.

LA was okay... kinda. Dumagdag lang sa iniisip ko 'yung nakita ko sa hospital.

"That's Chloe, right?" Ate Fiona asked while she was fixing her carry on before putting it away.

I nodded, "yeah."

"Is Yejun going to be okay though?" I asked when she has settled on her seat already. Yejun said he has some things to do in LA so he's staying a little longer than planned.

"I think he will be."

I just shrugged and looked outside the window, admiring the clouds. The thought of me flying with Chloe made me smile.

At least I feel a little secured after all Chloe's here.

Chloe was the one who performed the safety guidelines in front! I was laughing but deep inside I was the proudest.

Siniko ako ni ate Fiona." She looks different from the photos you always show me," she chuckled.

"That was from years ago, ate!" I laughed a little.

"Oh well, she looks prettier now."

It was true though. Ang blooming niyang tignan.

Buong flight si Chloe lang parati 'yung umaattend saamin. "Pahug," aniya nang i-abot ang dinner namin.

"Pwede ba ngayon?" Pinagtaasan ko siya ng kilay. "Hindi, shuta."

I laughed, covering my mouth because some were sleeping, I didn't want to disturb their sleep.

Gustong-gusto ko na rin siya i-hug, after ten years nakita ko na ulit siya. Parang dati sa face time lang kami palagi naguusap.

I teased her the whole flight, palagi kong pinipindot 'yung call button. "Alam mo tangina ka, anong trip mo?" Her eyebrows were already furrowed when she approached me.

Pang-apat na kasi 'to, ang saya lang kasi niyang inisin. "Musta?"

"Alam mo nagtratrabaho ako, mamaya no na 'ko guluhin at kamustahin. Paulit-ulit ka, ee, bruha." Inirapan niya pa 'ko bago siya umalis nang may tumawag sakanya.

I thought they weren't allowed to do that with their passengers lol.

"Please turn off your cellphones as we start to descend..." rinig kong announce kaso hindi ko na rin narinig 'yung buo dahil lutang ako.

Sinundan ko naman 'yon kaya wala naman akong naging problema. Hindi ako natulog buong flight! Tapos 'yung katabi ko sarap na sarap sa tulog. Sana lahat.

When the aircraft was parked, everyone was free to move around already, buti nalang at nagising naman si ate Fiona at hindi ko na siya kailangan pang gisingin.
