PAVLO
While staring at my office window, hindi pa rin maalis sa isip ko ang nakasama kong girl sa party. George caught my attention. A petite and voluptuous woman isn’t my type But there is something in her that drew me—like a moth to a beautiful flower. Damn! She used to be a wallflower but now—a flower that I couldn’t take my eyes off.
I admit she is more beautiful now compared ten years ago. I remembered her as a loud bestfriend of my cousin, Chantal. I barely recognized her when I saw her at the party. The thin flat chested girl old has grown into a lovely swan after a decade. She nearly took my breath away.
Then I thought of lola’s scheme. I have to secure a wife before I turned thirty-one. I raked my hair and went at the bar in my office. I got the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and poured some in my glass. I stared at the red liquid before gulping it. The Sour and sweet taste of the wine tastes like heaven in my throat. I poured another in my glass and brought it with me as I returned to my desk.
I got my phone and stared at it. I dialied a number. I need help to counter my grandmother’s scheme. I have to talk to my lawyer.
“Steve, what happened?”
“Sir, we failed our accreditation with Registry of Shipping. What shall we do about it?”
“We have to get the accreditation from RS. Det Norske Veritas also needs that accreditation. Call them at blast them about it.” I raked my hair. “Ask them to repeat the job.” I am really pissed off.
“Terminate that diver or else we will not pay them. Also, remove Dive Excel in Supplier Accreditation.” I hate to do this. But I have to teach them a lesson.
“Yes, sir.”
I drank my wine and and cursed at it. Damn it!
GEORGE
Seryosong bati niya. Anong problema? Bakit mukhang galit si chief?
