Ashton didn't hesitate to text me that night. We kept each other company while the normal people slept. This was when I learned a little about Ashton: he has two siblings, his mom's name, he graduated last year, his taste in music, about his ex Alicia, his Instagram, and his Snapchat.

Bella also added me on Instagram. We talked yesterday, but I didn't tell her about my encounter with Ashton.

Liz told Luke this morning. You can guess how that went. We haven't spoken since! It bothered me after the sweet talk we had last night. I swear as I get an inch of lead way on cracking him I get pushed a foot back!

I noticed the door open behind my phone. It was time for tall, mean, and blonde to come home, but the brown eyed boy standing in my room was not Luke! It completely slipped my mind that he had a friend coming over today.

"Ignore her Calum! That's what I do," Luke threw his bag on the couch before heading to the bathroom.

"Okay," Calum tried to laugh it off. "Calum Hood," he waved at me.

"That's not ignoring!" Luke shouted behind the closed door.

"Kaytlin Storm," I gave him a quick smile before replying to Ashton's text.

"I didn't know Daniel had a daughter. Why haven't I seen you before?" Calum was surprised.

"They hide me in the attic," I whispered, knowing Luke would have some smart answer. He was making it perfectly clear that he didn't want us speaking anyways.

"Because she lives in America," Luke came back, not knowing about my quiet comment, "we've known Daniel for almost three years, and Kaytlin just decided to show up. She's heading back in three months, so there's no point in getting to know her."

"Dude," Calum's voice was like a whisper. He wasn't expecting Luke's sudden outburst, but I was.

"Let's just do this project," Luke pulled a science book out of his bag. Based on Luke's demeanor one could make the assumption he wasn't a homework type of guy, though Liz probably made him, but it flattered me. He despised me so much he was doing his homework by his own free will!

Calum mouthed me an apology, but it was fine. Luke's angry outbursts were a regular thing! I doubt they would stop anytime soon. It was his sweet moments that always shocked me after all!

Thirty minutes of silence!
No one said a single word for thirty minutes!

I couldn't stand the silence, "do you guys want snacks?" Calum watched me as I rose from my bed, "I can make something."

"Could you pick us up some pizza? Maybe some chips and a drink? Could you manage that?" Luke snarled. His eyes never left his book.

"Yeah, I can do that. What kind of pizza do you want?" My GPS would direct me, so I wasn't worried about getting lost.

"Maybe we should get the pizza! No offense, but do you know your way around? Can you drive?" Calum pointed out the obvious issues with the situation.
