"Storms! Hemmings! Living room now!" it sounded like Liz was screaming right outside the bedroom door.

I met Ben in the hallway, it seems we're the only two in our bedrooms. "What's all this about?" I asked as we made our way to the living room.

"You'll see," Ben smirked, walking ahead of me.

"Not reassuring," I mumbled.

Liz had set a rather large, portable Dry Erase Board in front of the tv. She had three boxes around her feet, that's contents I couldn't see. Everyone seemed to be aware of what's happening. Everyone but me!

Ben and Bradly were chatting amongst themselves about some strategy, while Jack and Connor were doing this weird hand shake. Dad was helping Liz stick pictures on the board.

"Katie, will you take a picture of me and Liz," my dad tossed me a small Polaroid Camera.

Where do people get these things? Everyone seems to have one!

"Sure," they tried to do some 'cool' pose, but they just looked ridiculous. I handed the camera back to them without looking at the picture, and took a seat in the oversized chair.

Luke came walking in from the kitchen. He had a can of soda and a bowl of popcorn. He sat beside me as if he hadn't ignored me the past three days.

I knew I was giving him a weird look. He took a long sip from his drink, "what?" I sighed and scooted as far back in the chair as I could. Luke did the same thing.

Suddenly his giggled box busted and he went into a fit of laughter. No one else seemed to notice. I rolled my eyes, "what is so funny?"

"You're so short, your legs don't reach the end of the chair," he laughed harder, "you've got like another six inches!"

"Give me this," I took his drink before wacking him with a throw pillow. He just continued to laugh to himself. "Glad we're speaking again," I mumbled.

"Well we're gonna have to partner," he elbowed my side.

"Partner?"

"Family game night, and I'm assuming you're my new partner," Luke didn't seem amused by this, but I was excited! When I was younger my dad would make me, Connor, and Bradly play games together. It was always me and dad vs Connor and Bradly. Some of my favorite childhood memories came from game night! "Besides," Luke brought me back to the real world, "I wasn't ignoring you. I was ignoring Ashton."

"Ashton said you talked to him," Luke handed me his bowl of popcorn, which I sat next to his drink.

"I had nothing nice to say," he draped his arm over my shoulders. I was in a much better mood now. Not that I was in a bad mood, I was just bored.

"Luke, Kaytlin, will you two go get the snacks," Liz smiled at us, "there's some chips and salsa, spinach dip, and a fruit salad."

"No problem," I scooted to the end of the chair and stood up, making Luke laugh again.

"Come on short stuff."
