"Is it straight?"

"Raise the left side slightly," Luke instructed.

"If I go any higher I won't be able to reach the Command Strip," I leaned up on the chair and tried to adjust the framed poster one last time.

Sunday was fun. Luke and I rode around Sydney and just got to know each other a little better. A good portion of our time was spent listening to music. Turns out we like a lot of the same bands, so after school today he went out and bought a tone of posters that we've been hanging up for the past hour or two.

"I don't understand why I'm hanging them when you're so much taller," eventually I got the Nirvana poster up.

He put the Green Day poster in the frame before handing it to me, "well come over here and I'll pick you up!"

"Why you gotta pick me up? Why can't you put it up?" The Green Day poster went up a lot quicker, it was wedged between the Nirvana poster and the corner of the wall.

"Because, 'I can't hang them straight,'" he mimicked my voice.

"Who wants a crooked poster?" I tried to frame the AC/DC poster, but I failed miserably. Luke stuck out his hand, and I willingly surrendered it to him.

"No one wants a ripped poster either. So, let me frame, you hang, and I'll assist you!" The assistance didn't last long. As soon as his phone rang, for what seemed like the fiftieth time today, he scurried off to the bathroom.

I ran my fingers along the framed posters, flipping through the unframed ones. That's when I found a band I hadn't heard of before. "What's this?" I pulled the poster out, "5 Seconds of Summer? Holly shit!" Luke came out the bathroom and I flipped the frame around for him to see, "you're in a band?"

"Yup," he took a confident stance.

"That's so cool," I flipped the poster back around, admiring the four different photos edited together on the large page.

"Me and Michael play the guitar, Cal's our bassist, and Ash plays the drums. We've got a few songs, had a few gigs," he moved beside me, looking over my shoulder.

"When do I get to hear you guys?" I knew Luke and Ashton could sing, but I wanted to hear the whole band together.

"Ugh, well we'll see about that," I heard the zip of a coat. I glanced around the room, finding Luke by the window. He was dressed to go out.

"You're abandoning me to finish the posters?"

"Oh please, you'll be fine! If mom comes, cover for me," I nodded letting him know I would. I assumed he was sneaking out to see Bridget, but they haven't talked since Friday. "I'm not sure when I'll be back," he ducked out the window, leaving it open just enough so he could get back in.

He took a long look at me before running off. I sighed, "have fun."

To fill the silence I turned on the tv. It took me about five minutes to find some show about ghost hunting. "Good enough," I turned it up and went back to the project at hand.
