"Luke and I can get in and distract them long enough for you to slip in, in the back of one of the trucks. We'll get you out and take you to where Justin is, you take him then go, clear?" Sam went over the plan one last time.

"Clear" she coughed after killing another Dead Runner.

She wiped her forehead and looked at the blood, she breathed in deeply and tried to calm down. Justin was right, she was turning into something she didn't want to become but he had calmed her and changed her. She didn't go out looking for DR's anymore, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't satisfied when she killed them.

She knew why she had killed so many after Ed died, it was because the real person she wanted to kill was tucked away in a community, holding the only family she has left, prisoner.

"Okay, follow us" Luke held his shoulder as he led them into the woods, they could hear DR's choking and growling in their area, but they couldn't waste their time on that.

"George's truck comes in any time... now" they looked to a truck driving past and heading towards a well-lit area with huge walls surrounding it.

"Quick!" Sam whispered more than he yelled as the truck stopped at the gate, they had about two minutes to get her in and hide her, they helped her in the back of the truck and covered her with the Dead Runners' bodies. She didn't complain as she had grown used to their smell and blood on her skin.

"We'll meet you in there" Luke whispered as she nodded lightly and closed her eyes as the truck began moving.

The boys ran alongside the gate, nodding at the men on watch as the truck parked next to the others. They quickly helped Ava out of the truck and squinted at the smell of her.

"This way" Sam motioned to a tall building and they ran inside, peering round every corner and making sure no one was looking. They ran to the basement and unlocked the door, "Davis only comes here in the mornings so you should be fine" Luke stayed up there to keep watch as the other two rand own the stairs.

Ava stopped when she saw the multiple cells, she peered into them and saw no one she recognized, they all begged her to let them out, but she was only here for one person.

She stopped when she saw Justin lying on the ground unconscious and beaten, "OPEN IT!" she yelled to Sam as he fiddled with the keys and opened the cell door.

She crouched by his side and listened to his breathing, "Shit! Justin!" she yelled and started compressions.

"Don't you dare you bastard" she muttered and pushed harder, she pinched his nose and gave him her own air, she could taste the blood on his lips. She pulled back and continued compressions.

"Come on. Come on" she grunted and pushed even harder on his chest, "You don't get to do this you asshole" she felt anger bubbling up inside of her.

"Fuck you Justin!" she yelled and banged her fists on his chest, his eyes shot open and he gasped for air, choking, and turning on his side, coughing up blood.

"Oh thank god" she gasped and rubbed his back gently.

"Ava..." he laid on his back and she placed both hands on his cheeks and smiled at him, "Your hairs different" he smiled as she let out a small chuckle and kissed his forehead.

"We need to get out of here before someone realizes we got in" she stroked his hair, he nodded and she helped him up, wrapped an arm around his torso and grabbing his arm wrapping it over her shoulders to support his weight.

They climbed back up the stairs and headed for the back exit, "I'm just so glad you're okay" Ava muttered into Justin's chest as they paused at a corner and looked around.

"Alright, let's go" Sam motioned for them to follow as they ran for an empty truck, Ava and Justin climbed into the back, Sam and Luke sat in the front and started the truck. People were beginning to notice and that was their cue to get out.

They reversed quickly and headed straight for the gate, men with some very pretty guns aimed at them and that's when Ava's eyes landed on one of them. He was tall and muscular, he looked her age and her eyes landed on his, she felt a sharp pain in her heart when she saw his eyes deep, ocean blue, eyes.

Though she realized the sharp pain was actually coming from her shoulder and she looked at the bullet hole. And he was the one who pulled the trigger, he dropped his gun when they both made eye contact and his face was full of shock.

"Ava! Hey!" Justin tried to shake her out of her stare as they rammed through the gate and back into the road.

Justin laid her down and opened her jacket, "Lay still" he applied pressure to her shoulder and tried to stop the bleeding.

"It was him Justin" she whispered, and he just placed his hand on her hair.

"Just stay still, let me help you" he stroked her hair and took of his short, using it to cover her wound as the bleeding slowed down.

"Justin" she grabbed his wrist and glared athim, "Edward's alive".
