21 'Quarantine'

"Hodges!" Ava yelled after a long silence before running at him and jumping into his arms, "You piece of shit" she gasped and wrapped her arms and legs around him.

He smiled and held onto her, "Wow" he said and let go, setting her down, "You grew up" he laughed at her. She was taller than before, her hair was longer, she had scars around her arms and one on the side of her head. He couldn't believe who he was seeing, "Just... wow. What are you—how old are you like—" she cut him off.

"Twenty... it think, I lost count a while ago" she smiled and let go of him.

"Are we supposed to know who this is?" Ed asked, breaking the mood as they both looked to him.

"He was my History teacher" she smiled.

"Are you guys gonna let us in?" Justin asked them and lowered his arms.

"Oh yeah, but you guys have to go to quarantine first" Hodges nodded.

"Quarawhat?" Ava stared at him.

"Welcome to Quarantine" Ed cheered unenthusiastically in the shower.

"Yeah, I don't like this, I hate that they're watching" Ava whispered the last part to the Ed in the cubical beside her.

"The curtains are blurred, we're fine" Justin told them, "Just enjoy the sheer pleasure of a hot shower and not having to clean yourselves off in a murky lake" he closed his eyes and allowed the droplets of water to fall on his face.

"Can't we ask them to turn around?" Ava pressed, as she held Lucas up in the shower so the water could fall on his face.

"You look like Rafiki" Ed laughed.

"Who?" she put Lucas down and gestured to the soap on the ground and he held it up to his mouth, "No don't eat it you dumb idiot, scrub yourself" she took it out of her hands and scrubbed it across her arm as an example and he did the same except more vigorously than she did.

"Rafiki, you know, the lion king?" Ed persisted.

Ava gave him a confused look then looked back down to Lucas, "Did you know about this?" she asked him, and he nodded his head. "Traitor" she grumbled.

"Okay everyone out!" one of the guys yelled.

"Turn around or I'll strangle you with the shower pipe" Ava growled, and the two men turned around as she climbed out and grabbed her towel.

She wrapped Lucas in his before picking him up, "You may turn around" she smiled before walking past them and heading to the lockers where her stuff was.

Ed and Justin exchanged terrified looks as they realized they hadn't put their towels on quick enough and the men just laughed at them.

"Hm, you two look like you just saw each other's dicks" Ava laughed and held out her hand as Lucas slapped it.

"Excuse me, what happened to my clothes, these are completely different" Ava raised her hand and caught one of the guys' attention.

"They were covered in blood, we had to get rid of them" he told her simply.

"Who grabbed them so I can thank them for their amazing taste in..." she stopped and squealed out in excitement when she saw a brand-new leather jacket.

"We have a clothing store here, we managed to salvage some clothes" the other guy explained as she pointed her finger at him.

"Yes" she smiled.

She helped Lucas get dressed, he was in a black shirt with small white spots that acted like stars, white shorts, blue trainers, and a red bandanna round his neck.
