CHAPTER 32

Hadiza's Pov

All the letters I wrote to my mother for some weeks were not replied which had me wondering if they got delivered to the right place.

"Hadiza what happened to you?",my roommate asked me as she saw me roaming about the room.

"I don't know..I just dont feel at ease I dont know why".

"Maybe I should take you to the clinic".

"It is not anything serious,I think I just need air that's all",I said.

I stepped outside to clear my head and get some air when I saw Stella approaching me.On a good day,Stella would have asked me "hadiza how far" but she was just very gentle considering she was even coming from her sister's place...she wasn't looking happy.

"Stella how are you?",I asked her.

"I dey..are you ok too".

"Yes now but what happened to your face..you don't look happy".

She sniffed in first before answering me.

"Ahh I dey alright oo,you are the one I am asking if you are very ok".

"I dont even know ...I don't really feel comfortable".

"Has Aunty Aminat called you today?",she asked looking concerned.

"No,I know she will still call me maybe in the night...ahnahn Stella what happened that you are not looking at me".

"Nothing ooo...when is your last exam?".

"On friday ,then I will go home on Saturday",I said.

"Ahnahn is that not too early,wait small in school now then we will go to Sister Lisa's place".

"It has being a while I saw Aunty Aminat and she hasn't called me and her number is not ringing too".

"Sister Lisa said we should come to her place together that that is what Aunty Aminat wants".

"Ehnehn but she no tell me..are you sure everything is ok?",I asked Stella again to be sure because my mind wasn't at rest.

"Hadiza yes..have you eaten today?".

"Yes I ate small rice because I dont really feel like eating".

Stella prepared indomie for both of us and started gisting me about the different guys she met and parties she attended that I didn't know about making me forget how bothered I was a while ago.

"I can't believe I am graduating in few months",Stella said making me remember I still had another year because of the course I was studying.

"You are so lucky...if not for my course we would have graduated together..I am going to miss you so much even though I will still see you anytime I come back".

"I am going to miss you too yeye girl but I go still dey come check you now".

"How's Anthony?",Stella asked me as she ransacked her bag for something.

Anthony already confessed his feelings which I also felt the same way but I didn't want to tell him even though I showed signs.I wanted to be done with school before any distraction so he understood.

"He is fine and I am supposed to see him today oo maybe in the evening when I am done revising this note",I said smiling at the mention of his name.

"Finally,Anthony has gotten my friend oo because I don't understand again..If you were to be a fair girl,you would have looked like tomato I swear".

"You have started again..I am just smiling on my own na".

"Ehhh na so...around what time did you say you are going to see him?".

"By 5pm maybe and I will be back by 6 because I have some courses to study with him".

"Is he going to send you away if you dont leave by 6pm or if you dont study ?".

"No now,that's what I am going to do there nothing else".

She stood up and checked my temperature wondering if I was ok.

"Must everything be book!book!..you better chop life before life chop you and don't say it's important".

"I have heard you..I wont read book today Madam Stella so I want to rest small before I go out ehn".

"Much better...don't worry I will wake you so that you wont sleep off.You better don't send fine boy like Anthony away oo".

"Thank you..how is Aunty Lisa and the baby?",I asked.

"Baby don dey crawl oo you no go believe..he has a fast growth".

"I can't wait to see him and I am sure Aunty Lisa is fresher and fatter".

"Ahh na she dey enjoy pass with her husband  money na..mama is even around because at first when I heard her voice coming from the room as I entered the house,I shock oo".

"Ehnehn  Aunty Lisa didn't tell you before?".

"No oo,My sister gave me money to give you",she said as she handed over the money to me

"Tell her thank you for me oo and I will call her later too..did she say anything about my Aunty?".

"Ok oo..hadiza you better sleep because me sef wan go sleep now".

Stella is hiding something from Hadiza hmmn.What do you think happened readers? We will definitely get to the root soon.
