"What do you mean? You're scaring me," Y/N continues to panic.
Snapping back to reality, Donghyuck realizes that he almost gave himself away, "I-I was just joking."
"How funny," the girl in front of him let out a sarcastic chuckle.
Donghyuck just stands there staring into her eyes. He was smiling foolishly to himself but what could he do?
The very first pair of eyes that held nothing but feeling behind them belonged to her. To him, they were the most beautiful eyes in the world.
"What are you looking at?" she asks.
"Your eyes," he responds.
Y/N scoffs, "Why? Have you never seen a pair of eyes before?"
"Not a pair like yours," Donghyuck says and a shade of pink spreads across the girl's cheeks.
"Weirdo," she lets out a chuckle before walking away.
Once she was out of his view, Donghyuck started walking home. His mind was a mess as he continued thinking about her eyes.
What is so special about her? Why can't he see through her eyes?
Those questions were haunting him during the day and for the rest of the night. As much as he tried, he couldn't get her out of his head.
. . .
Upon hearing the loud beeping of the alarm clock, Donghyuck fluttered his eyes open and squinted as his eyes adjusted to the bright, morning sunlight.
Letting out a few tired groans he stood up and trudged his way to his bathroom to get ready for school. As always, he stared into his own eyes for a good ten minutes.
Just like how he sees other people's death by looking into their eyes, he tries to catch a glimpse of his own death through his own reflection. However, it was of no use as he still couldn't see anything.
Donghyuck splashed water over his face and left the small bathroom.
"Hyun, where are you, buddy?" He called out to his best friend. The dog came rushing from the living room and barked excitedly. "Who's a good boy?" He ruffles the dog's hair.
"Eat something before you leave," his mother said in her usual cold and distant tone.
"Have a good day at work," he said as he sat on a stool by the kitchen island.
"A day at work is never a good one," she glares at him before leaving the house.
"Sorry," Donghyuck muttered under his breath before grabbing the dog food and placing some in Hyun's dog bowl. "I'll be back later."
. . .
Arriving at the crowded entrance of his high school, the lad was met with a group of boys that circled around him.
