before the werewolf could do any harm to her , he was pushed off . his body flew from the force , hitting his back on the wall .
the werewolf groaned as the members of his pack bowed down , showing respect and esteem to the one whom pushed the werewolf off .
chaeri fluttered her eyelashes as she opened her eyes , meeting the ones she saw earlier . the same majestically eyes he saw - blue and white eyes , such wonder she could never understand .
but instead of being the wolf form it was in , it has shapeshifted into its werewolf form , activated by the full moon . the cause of him being in a hurry a few moments ago , was due to him knowing he was transforming soon .
"j-jaemin." the werewolf that was injured due to the harsh shove gripped onto his arm as he eyed his leader - the alpha of the pack .
"why did you protect her ?" jeno , the beta of the wolf pack asked , knowing the behaviours of his leader , the alpha of the pack was known to be ruthless.
jaemin shoot an empty reply - silence . jeno stood up and dusted his fur . eyeing his leader that was helping up the human that he was hunting down .
"we rarely see a human around here." renjun , the delta , commented . he also felt something wrong when his own leader launched himself towards jeno.
jaemin once again didn't let out a single response yet he only focused his senses on the human.
"thank you..?" chaeri awkwardly pulled her lips up into a smile , she didn't know how to interact with a werewolf . especially after her near-death experience.
jaemin exchanged one last eye contact before scurrying away alongside his pack , the pack of five finally had their leader , now they were a completed pack of six.
"you could've at least said a 'you're welcome' ." she scoffed , as she looked at the werewolves that were in a distance , running back into the foggy woods .

"jaem , we were looking for you." one of the werewolves spoke up , after searching for their leader for hours they finally reunited .
for the time being that the alpha was gone , the beta which was jeno , took over the pack , leading them .
"i was...hunting." jaemin stopped in his track , passing by the tree that was once over him . "but this tree dropped , squishing my tail." jaemin pointed at the scar that was left due to the injury .
remembering the pain and agony he was in , he winced . being the alpha , he was the strongest and had the most pain resistance in the group yet the pain from the tree hitting wolf's most sensitive part - the tail , was just unbearable .
"oh yeah , why did you protect that human ?" the same wolf asked once again , curious as to the reason of his protective behaviour towards her .
"she was the one who saved me, chenle." jaemin spoke , answering the queries the younger wolf had . chenle was one of the youngest in the pack , he admired jaemin of his strength and jaemin's strategic way of thinking.
"therefore , i shall protect her." his eyes of determination as he gazed into the distance , back at the girl whom roamed around the petrifying woods which contained sinister creatures .
