"what was that all about ?" chaeri stood still in the middle of the pathway as the fox hurried away.
in deep confusion, she awkwardly stood there, her arms by her side yet slightly lifted up. her legs tilted inwards, with her head tilted to the side.
her curiosity kicking in, begging her to follow the fox to wherever it was going. probably wasn't the wisest decision that is, however she couldn't be less cautious about her decisions.
she slowly trailed behind the fox, it really helped that the fox was a bright colour- sticking out from the dark surroundings.

after minutes and minutes of walk, she reached a secluded area with what seemed like a small nature's room- a room with bed and chairs made from natures's supplies such as leaves and woods.
there were many different foxes hanging around that area, however they were all of normal breed- something that was common and powerless.
the basic shade of orange filled their furs, they were just like any other fox with no special abilities. they all seemed to be busy until the mystical fox stepped into the room.
upon her arrival, all the foxes faced her, bowing at her feet to welcome her back to their little spot that they'd hide in.
it wasn't meant for anyone to find, especially not a human. at that point, chaeri couldn't read the situation, she obviously didn't speak whatever language foxes spoke.
she hid behind one of the tall wooden pillars that surprisingly hid her petite body well, she was well hidden and kept completely silent.
nevertheless, it wasn't hard for the foxes to tell that there was an intruder in the area despite not being able to see it.
they had enhanced senses just like wolves, the two creatures were pretty similar in terms of their abilities- both knew much more wisdom, both had enhanced senses.
one of the foxes left the pack, slowly approaching chaeri. her head that once peeked out was kept back, she stood even more still and held her breath.
"hey." the fox spoke, his voice sounded so pretty... it was a melody, a calm piece to her ear. she was certainly not expecting the fox to speak, especially not in her language.
"y-you speak ?" she ensured to keep her volume low, once her cover is blown, it'd be a huge mess. she wasn't sure if she should've just made a run to the exit or try to talk it out with that one fox who figured her out.
"of course. here, follow me." he signaled her to follow him, she obediently followed him like a hungry puppy after the owner's food.
she had no choice but to listen to him. it was the wisest choice at that point. it'd be dumb to rebel against him knowing he had control over her.
"aren't you... going to tell your fellow foxes about me ?" she questioned, following him to a small corner which was out of sight from the other foxes.
"if i tell them, i'll just have to share you. so why not keep you all to myself ?" he chuckled, his eyes scanned her down before his tongue brushed through his lips making her feel extremely uncomfortable- she felt like running out of there, a clenching on her chest.
