waking up during the night, it was in the middle of the night, upon hearing loud rustling coming from the bushes, she was awoken.
she sat up, the fire she had made before falling asleep was long gone leaving her freezing. she shivered, though her coat was present it felt as though she was exposed to the cold air with no sort of protection.
she gazed up at the moon, luckily it wasn't a full moon , meaning the werewolves were either taking the form of a human or a wolf.
however, werewolves weren't the only threat around the woods, there were plenty of other sinister creatures roaming around the woods.
she was never save in the dangerous woods, anything could happen, she could be eaten any second. there were creatures scarier than werewolves though werewolves stood high on the threats chart.
the pesky little creatures loitered in the shadows of the night, far from sight yet near from touch. afraid of the rulers of the woods, yet also trying to earn a living by hunting down preys.
chaeri was the number one prey for any and every creature of the woods, be it strong or weak, humans were the number one prey. they were easy, not to mention, powerless.
the creature from the bush launched itself towards chaeri, gripping onto her shirt as it started ripping parts of her coat off.
she screamed for help , attempting to push the little creatures that were climbing and clinging onto her. their horrifying faces in-front of her as they attacked.
the creatures looked so horrifying and evil, their gnarled features and terrifying facial expressions. though they were miniature, they varied in many.
the creatures got pushed off and away from chaeri by the tip of a gun, chaeri looked up. meeting eyes with ones she had never seen before.
a human, it was a human whom saved her. she couldn't believe her eyes, the woods would never have any humans loitering around, not to mention at night.
it was unusual yet she was thankful , the odds were really going her way, she was saved plenty of times. considering the fact that she couldn't do any self defence, she survived for a pretty long time.
"w-who are you?" she questioned, distancing herself from him as she looked down at the gun he held onto.
"i'm hendery." he smiled, putting the gun that was once in his hand back into its holder.
"why are you here?" she continued questioning, unbelieving that she'd see a human around at night, she thought she'd be doomed.
"i'm a hunter, i'm here to hunt down the creatures around her like werewolves and deers." hendery explained, showing her the badge on his shirt that had the company of his.
"w-werewolves?" her eyes wide, though she had little knowledge of werewolves, she didn't like the sound of hunting down werewolves.
"they contain a special dust in their tails, the collected dust will then be made into valuable gems." hendery explained, picking out something from the pocket of his vest.
he took out a small plastic bag containing some of the dust he had found , she was disgusted by the idea of hunting down animals.
she had always been the type to love and empathise with animals, she never supported the act of hunting.
"oh and what are those that attacked me?" she recalled the moment earlier, remembering the messed up look of the creature - definitely something she had never seen before.
"they're goblins." he looked back into the distance making sure they were alone.
