Was all Yoongi did.

Waiting for that certain someone to pop up in his notifications, whether it be a like or comment; he honestly didn't care.

Just anything would suffice.

Because this wasn't normal.

Jungkook always liked his Instagram posts within ten minutes of posting, and as much as he tried not to overthink everything until it led to the worst possible reasons as to why this was, Yoongi simply couldn't help it.

He couldn't help but dwell on the possibility that Jungkook really was mad at him, although he wasn't quite sure what for, but anything was possible at this point and maybe he was just being clueless to the obvious.

Which he was, but he didn't know that.

But all the boy could do was hope and pray that everything between them was alright, but he made an effort into diminishing those lingering insecurities with excuses like posting at two o'clock in the morning, so it could've been that Jungkook was fast asleep and hadn't checked Instagram yet.

At least, that was the more optimistic and sanguine side of his brain, always looking for the light in all situations and reverberating those pessimistic doubts off the walls inside his mind where they wreaked nothing but pure havoc and unnecessary panic over every minor inconvenience or mishap. Though where every sparkle of hope glimmered, a shadow of despair reeked — always leading Yoongi back to his original thoughts that consistently resurfaced in the brink of his conscious no matter what.

Despite how hard he tried to fight it off.

Or understand the deeper meanings as to why Jungkook could be mad at him.

And maybe if he dug a little deeper and scurried around in the mind of his best friend, he would find an answer or just use blatant common sense.

However, the world isn't black and white — far from the line of simplicity and bridging over into unknown territories that were much to dangerous to cross. There's never one solid answer to a solution, and in some cases common sense is often drowned out by mere stupidity and stubbornness to see beyond the common eye in discovering the truth.

And maybe if Yoongi had checked the dozens of texts from the night before or even simply remembered their scheduled date planned — or even just tried putting himself in Jungkook's shoes — things wouldn't end up as complicated and heart shattering as they would.

Not just for Jungkook, but for the both of them.

So far, so good.

No trace of sight of Yoongi anywhere which is actually what Jungkook was praying for before he arrived at school that morning.

Although it's not like it would've been a problem anyway, since the likelihood of them crossing paths anymore was practically in hell. And while past Jungkook — or Jungkook just two days ago — would've been crying endlessly to this fact until his tears went dry, he was specifically thankful for this once since he didn't think his heart could take it any longer.

And if he did end up seeing him, the last thing he wanted to do was lash out at him or make things awkward since the deep corners of his brain told him that it probably wasn't Yoongi's intention to ditch him for Hoseok, as it never was.

Just blatant forgetfulness and stupidity.

So yes, he was purposely avoiding Yoongi at all costs, and though a small part of him did feel bad about it, he knew it was for the best.
