"I can't believe she skipped a whole day of class just to avoid a chemistry test," I laughed slightly over to Coby, not looking up as I continued to sketch in my art book.
"Trust Eden, I told you. No matter how much she told us and herself she would eventually, she'd never get around to revising,"
"And I agreed,"
We both chuckled carrying on with our art. Coby had been working on a painting on a large canvas for a while now. There was a huge easil set out holding the canvas besides Cobys and mines shared table. So he could sit down on his stool and paint still while sitting and talking to me.
I guess now was probably a perfect time to ask Coby his opinions on the situation. Since he knew it all and was the only one I had right now.
"Hey Coby," I dropped my pencil, looking over at him.
He turned his head on his shoulders looking back over at me. "Yeah?"
"Can I get your opinion on something?"
"Sure." He smiled placing the paint brush down on the table, getting some blue paint on it but he ignored that turning in his seat to face me. "Is it on a piece of art?"
"No, no it's erm- it's about me and Billie Joe,"
"Oooh...sure, what is it?"
"Well... the other day... Billie and I kissed-"
"-You-?"
"-Yes. But not what I wanna talk about. I went back to Edens after, she asked where I had been with Billie so I automatically lied. Y'know? I can't just tell her I was kissing her brother who I ensured everything between us was fake. So I made a quick lie up automatically getting so use to lying about Billie and I now and well- Billie got weird about it. He bluntly said goodnight to me and went into his room, left yesterday morning with out me and Eden and then we argued when I asked him why he was angry,"
"Why was he angry?"
"Because I keep lying to Eden. He thinks I'm embarrassed of hanging around with him or something. He said something along the lines of it sounds to him he's not worth the ear ache from Eden. What am I suppose to do?"
"Why do you care? Don't you want this fake relationship to end?"
"I thought I would. But I guess not, y'know? I don't wanna go back to how things was. I like his company. But Eden is waiting for it to end and- what do I do?"
He looked at me for a second as he furrowed his eyebrows trying to come up with an answer for me. "Got it!" He clicked.
"What?"
"Party,"
~
"He just said that party was the answer," I shrugged sat on the end of Eden's bed with Coby talking to Eden as she searched through her wardrobe for something to wear.
Billie was still acting off with me. I hadn't spoken to him all day, he opened the door for me and Coby but only spoke to Coby. Coby had to give us a ride from school since Billie once again left early like he had yesterday. And there was no way I was walking with Eden again.
"Party is the answer to everything," he innocently shrugged.
"Even though I'm not really a party person..." I muttered looking away.
Party's scared me greatly. People at party's scared me. Everything to go with partys scares me hugely. They just weren't my thing.
"Well I am," Coby replied as Eden spun around with a piece of clothing hung on a hanger.
