There was a knock on the bedroom door, as I sat on the bed thinking meaninglessly about the big rollercoaster my life had been on through the past few days. "Come in," I shouted turning to the door.
The door creaked open, as I saw Ollie look at me. She smiled, walking in. "Everything alright sweetie?" She asked.
I rotated myself on the bed, facing over to her as she sat herself carefully on the far corner of my bed. "Everything's good yeah," I smiled. "Thanks again for letting me stay here by the way,"
She laughed slightly. "Of course, you stayed here enough anyway," she joked.
"Yeah... I guess I just didn't like having a house to myself,"
Ollie pursed her lips, the same way Billie sometimes does. "Y'know...that's what I wanted to ask you about. How are you feeling... with your mom having moved?"
It was weird. I wasn't exactly hurt. But trust me I wasn't happy. With my mom leaving, I felt a shallow feeling in my stomach. Like when you're hungry and it feels like your stomachs eating it self. Or when you've done something bad and you're scared you're about to get caught out. But it wasn't replaced with sadness or guilt. It was merely just empty. "It doesn't feel much different. I guess it's the thought of knowing it is," I admitted.
She nodded understandingly. "I know it's probably harder than you let on sweetie," She pouted looking over at me. "But you're doing and have been doing great with out her. You're a real independent person, but don't think you've got no one now your moms moved away,"
I smiled over at her thankfully. "Thanks Ollie. It means a lot you'd do all this for me,"
She gave me a bigger smile, a happier one more that a pitiful one. "You've always been welcomed here silly. I'm sure Eden and Billie Joe can tell you that,"
"They sure do,"
"Speaking of... I think Billies a little worried about you,"
I looked over confused. "Huh? W-why's that?"
She looked away from me for a second. Trying to sort the right words to use. "He knows what it's like to lose a parents- of course not in the same way. I just think he's worried it's hurting you the same,"
It was a sad concept. But I couldn't help but smile at the thoughts behind it.
Ollie stood up. Giving me another smile. "I'll leave you back to what you were doing before," She told me walking over to the door. "But just know I'm here if you feel like you need a motherly figure,"
I gave her another nod. And another smile of gratitude. "Thank you Ollie,"
"Of course." Before she shut the door.
I would have gone to hug Billie, feeling complimented that he'd thought about me in a worrying sense. But he was down in the basement busy with band practice with Tre and Mike. He wouldn't of minded me going down to watch, I know none of the boys would have. But since it was more of a personal matter of why he was worried, because of his dad, I thought maybe it was a conversation worth saving.
Eden was out with Coby, who I felt like I hadn't seen in forever. So this was really just kinda the time for me to get comfortable in what was looking like my new room for however long.
I decided to re arrange, about maybe a good few times. I stuck some things I use to have on my wall back on to these ones, making room on shelves and the bed side table. Until I heard what I knew were Billies foot steps making their way up the stairs.
Sitting on my bed staring over at all my CDs I was trying to re arrange, the door opened where Billie was. His hair a little messy and a smile that was aimed over my way. "What ya doing?" He asked, letting himself in as he walked over beside the double bed.
