•• Laila's pov ••

I'm back home now, I dropped Billie off at her house and now I'm just standing here pacing back and forth wondering what to do and what I need to get ready for the parade. I've already gone over my check list 3 times and I don't need to do anything at the moment.

I decided to lazily scroll through instagram while the office was playing in the background. I don't like being in silence, because when I'm left in silence I'm left with my thoughts and that's never good.

Nothing interesting was popping up on instagram, time to go annoy the siblings I guess. I pop into Rachel's room first only to remember she had a sleepover at her friends Molly's house last night. I guess Caleb gets the pleasure of my presence.

I open his door quietly and peek through it. Perfect he's sleeping. Opening the door just enough so I could squeeze in without it making a noise was hard, not that I really have to worry anyways because Caleb is a heavy heavy sleeper. 3 years ago we had our fire alarm go off and the kid didn't wake up. It ended up being a false alarm but still. The whole family had to shake and slap him until he woke up.

Now how am I going to wake him up is the question. I thought about my options. Pour water on him, throw something at him, get Bean to attack him, but I went for the good old jump on him until he wakes up. Ugh I'm just a nice sister.

It was go time, I snuck up to his bed and with no mercy jumped up and didn't stop jumping until

"OW WHAT THE FUCK" I yelled, he pushed me off his bed. He literally karate kicked my legs and I fell on the floor "Dude that hurt, your floor isn't made of jello you know? Be careful"

"Hey you were the one that woke me up...wait floor made of jello hm..that doesn't seem like a bad idea"

"I know I can come up with great ideas sometimes, besides me being a genius can we do something, I'm bored"

"Ya sure!" He smiled "It's called sleeping game yayyy,,no but for real Laila it's only uh it's only 12:45 please let me sleep"

I sadly walked back to my room still bored. Wait idea

Blah blah Lane is nice blah blah he's a good guy. If only she saw him through my eyes. I wish she wasn't so nice maybe they wouldn't be together right now. Don't get me wrong I want Nessa to be happy! But I don't think Lane is the one. And heck if he is then I'll just have to put up with it.

It's now 1:00 everyone is coming over at 3. I'm gonna go for a skate to my special spot. My special spot is deep in the forest, you have to go down through windy paths and under this branch. No one knows about it, at least I think. But this is my spot. No one ever comes here besides me and I tell no one about it. It's my place to go and just think, or not think at all and just forget all my problems. I feel safe at my spot it doesn't even feel like I'm in my tiny town when I'm there.

** time skip **

Back home and it's 2:45 my friends should start showing up soon so time to make some snacks for us. I head down to the kitchen and grab a few big bowls, pouring in a few different kind of chips. I pull the chocolate covered strawberries my mom made for us out of the fridge and put them on this cute platter along with some other various fruit we had. I took out the jug of lemonade and some cups then headed outside. Putting it all nicely on the table outside, I did a pretty good job everything looks yum. I tried to put up the umbrella because it's very sunny out but it didn't exactly work so I gave up.

The parade is over and it was so much fun. Our shirts came out so cute and we got so many compliments which was well deserved. Everyone went back to Nessa's and as fun as it sounded I'm not going back on my word. I'm going to ask Billie if she needs help. I'm not going to pussy out..

Okay so I cant do this. I've been staring at the send button for 45 minutes now. I'm worried she's going to say no and then i'm going to be embarrassed. I need to think, I still she her tomorrow and I sit beside her so if she rejects my offer to help her unpack it will be awkward ri-
