Chapter 24 - It's bad enough me breathing the same oxygen.

I'M SO SORRY I HAVEN'T UPDATED IN LIKE 2-3 WEEKS!

I've had so much going on and sadly my cat who i've had for 17 years passed away last week which broke my heart:(

I'm glad you all really liked (although you found it sad) the last chapter and hopefully this ones okay! I've been pretty much on writer's block but had a burst of inspiration today to finish this chapter!

Beau's P.O.V

Beep

My eyes open and I'm surrounded by white. The room is extremely bright and all I can hear is that stupid beeping noise.

~just realised that part rhymed haha~

There's an intense pain in my stomach and then I remember.

Flashback

"Beau can you hear me! You've been shot! Please answer me!" Charlie screams frantically. "You can't die on me like this, not the way we ended it isn't right!"

"Ma'am step back." an unrecognisable voice speaks calmly. My vision is gone but I can hear everything. "Beau? Can you hear me. My name is Mike, I'm a paramedic. We're here to help you." and then everything fades out.

Flashback over

I can't believe I've been shot. I thought it'd be a lot worse than it is although I'm in agony. I try shifting around a bit but there are wires everywhere.

I feel someone holding my hand. I turn my head to look and Charlie's asleep, holding my hand and resting her head on the bed.

On the other side I see my mum who's also asleep.

I blink a few times so my vision focuses on the clock on the wall. 3am. Woops. Nice timing Beau.

I gently squeeze Charlie's hand, I expect her to wake up slowly but instead her head snaps up and she stares wide eyed at me.

"Beau?" she whispers barely audible, her eyes filling up as she adjusts to being awake. I give her a weak smile, I'll sound like an idiot talking with an oxygen mask on. "Gina, he's awake!" she grins leaning over me to poke her awake. My mum slowly sits up and adjusts to being awake. Her eyes widen in surprise.

"Beau?" she says just as Charlie had. Leaving me and my mum alone, Charlie disappears to get a nurse. I don't know why, I don't need one. Within seconds she returns.

"Hi Beau how are you?" the middle aged nurse asks gently taking my mask off.

"I'm good how about you?" I answer sarcastically.

"I'm better now that you've woken up, these two haven't left your side for the past 3 days." she chuckles reading the monitors. "You're all good, I'll leave you all to it."

The room falls silent as she exits, I look over at Charlie who looks exhausted as well as my mum.

"Where are the boys?" I ask realising my brothers are no where to be seen.
