Flight
"Makes sense," he mused, taking a step closer to me. "My life ran away from me, it's natural to miss her so bad."Napaatras ako ng bahagya.
The fire in his eyes tells me that it wasn't over for him. His jaw clenched tight as he eyed me closely. "Zelda..."
"Yes?" bumaba ang tingin ko sa mga labi niya. It was red and very supple, almost begging to be touched, to be tasted.
"If things were different back then, would you..." he stopped and shook his head as if he's frustrated about something.
"What?"
"Forget it," umigting panga niya at napahilamos ng mukha. "Saan ka sa Imerovigli? I'll drive you back."
"No, I don't want to go back. Not yet."
"But you need some sleep."
"I'll sleep on the plane."
His brows furrowed. "That's not good, you'll feel tired all day."
Part of me wanted to hear it from his lips, but part of me wants to drop it.
Maybe the universe was right to keep us apart. Or maybe...
"Are you trying to push me away?" I took a step closer until were inches apart. "Are you trying to take your revenge on me for breaking up with you, or did you got over me that quickly?"
His mouth twitched. Kinagat ko ang pang-ibabang labi ko. His eyes drifted down to my lips.
He groaned and looked away. Umatras siya at nagbabadyang umalis.
"Silver..." agap ko, hawak ang kanyang pulsuhan. "Tell me, if this is our last night on Earth, is that really what you want to say to me? Would you really want to send me away?"
"If this is our last night..." he paused to really think about it. Napangiti ako sa bahagyang pagka kunot ng noo at paglabi niya. "I wouldn't waste time. I'll sweep you on your feet and make love to you right on this fucking wall."
Damn that crude mouth!
"What if someone sees us?" I mused with a stupid smile on my face.
"I couldn't care less," he said with a devilish smile, my heart dropped for a moment.
Binawi ko ito ng tawa. "My, my, have you become a pervert during the past seven years, Architect? Kung saan-saan nalang tutal hindi ka kilala rito?"
Sinubukan kong itulak siya sa dibdib, but the brute didn't even budge.
He smirked. "We're talking about our last night on Earth. Theoretically, We're stripped off of our inhibitions."
"Yeah, I bet kung sino-sino lang dinadali mo sa iba't-ibang bansang napupuntahan mo. I mean, you could've had a one night stand and you'll never see them again."
"There was no one else." giit pa niya.
Natawa ako. "Oh, come on, Architect! We're both adults now, no need to be shy about it. I'm not offended, I don't care."
