"Gran, I know, alright? You've told me a billion times. It's the last day of finals today and I'll tell him. I don't want him to be upset while he's testing." Korei spoke into the phone, collecting her study guide off of her bedroom desk. It was the final day of exams for the third years, meaning they'd have only a week left of high school life. The green-haired girl had most of her stuff packed already, the excitement getting to her.

Within the past month, she had received her acceptance letter to a private college in the area, and Hanta was looking into internships and hero jobs that he could get full-time now. Everything was going great, except for the fact that Hanta wasn't exactly...ready? He barely had his room packed up, claiming that he needed to have easy access to all of his stuff for the last two weeks of high school, and he wasn't exactly enthralled at the thought of his friends leaving him. It didn't help that he was having nightmares about his friends, and Korei, especially Korei, betraying him. It's really freaked him out and put him in a bad headspace. Nothing Korei has attempted to do to get him to calm down, has worked.

"No! No no no, you are not telling him, Gran! I am! He's my boyfriend, " Korei exclaimed, raising her voice a little before quickly apologizing. "I'm sorry for yelling. It's just, I'm nervous. I've never done this before. I really hope that he's not mad at me for doing this, oh gosh. I just, I think it'd be best, ya know?" She rambled off, glancing at her dorm door before turning away from it to shove her study guide into her backpack. "No-one told me it'd be this nerve-wracking."

Korei's phone beeped against her ear but she shrugged it off. She figured it was probably a notification from one of her socials but it was actually a text from her boyfriend. Finals have been at the forefront of both of their brains, but Korei likes to switch between finals and the secret she held. Hanta was just stressed out because he thought his friends and family hated him and he couldn't tell why.

"I don't think he should know until the time is right? Like, we'll know when we know, " Korei murmured, not hearing her door open because she was so focused on her phone call. Hanta furrowed his brows when he noticed this, but a grin spread on his lips as he realized he could scare her. Quietly, he shut the door and began tip-toeing towards her. "I don't think he knows. I haven't really been that suspicious. I've even deleted my messages and everything. I really don't want him to find out." Hanta cocked his head to the side, his heart breaking as he let what he was hearing sink in. Is Korei actually cheating on him? It definitely sounded like it.

"Uh, you don't want me to find out what?" Hanta asked, his voice cracking at the last word. Korei whipped around to face him, taking in the glassy eyes and the hurt expression. She quickly told her grandmother that she loved her and hung up. This definitely didn't look good.

"I-i didn't want you to find out like this, " she whispered and Hanta narrowed his eyes at her. He better be dreaming. He better wake up right fucking now or she better tell him it's all a joke. "Hanta, how much of that did you hear?"

"Not enough because I have no fucking idea what's happening." He mumbled out, tears welling in his black eyes. This was the girl that he loves! She held him while they slept, she kissed him when he cried, and she was there when he didn't even need her. He planned on marrying her! Is this really how it ends? "I-is it true?"

"Uh, " she wanted to ask him what but he just shot off.

"No, it's not. Like, this is not happening right now. You would have told me sooner, right? I'm just overthinking everything." Hanta rambled off, hands shaking as he dropped his backpack to the floor. "This is just because of stress from finals. I'm making things up, ya know? Like, this can't be happening right now."

"Hanta! What's wrong? What do you think is happening?" Korei asked, reaching forward to grab him? He let her pull him in for a hug that he weakly returned. The tears were falling freely and he blamed it on his lack of sleep. "Hanta?"

"A-are you..." his voice broke once more and he couldn't get the word out. "Ch-cheating...on me-e?" He asked, suddenly holding her tighter. Korei's eyes widened and she couldn't believe what she had heard. She had been hurting him this whole time and she didn't even realize it. "If you are, jus-just let me know. I don't want to st-stand in the way of your hap-happiness."

"No! Baby, no! I'm not cheating on you! I'd never do that!" Korei rushed out, holding him even closer. Hanta continued crying on her shoulder, not caring that they had to be to class in less than twenty minutes. "I love you and only you! I'm so sorry that I made you think like that!" She exclaimed, rubbing his back.

"Th-then what's going on?" He asked, pulling away to wipe his snot off. Korei brushed his tears off of his cheeks, standing on her tip-toes to kiss him gently. Hanta smiled sadly at her and Korei didn't bother letting him go. She hugged him still, making sure he knew she was there for him.

"Well, remember when Denki and I started hanging out again?" A nod was all it took for Korei to spill the beans. "I wanted to tell you this after the last day of finals but it's okay. I told Denki that I wanted to marry you, own a house with you, and start a family with you. Well, he made a good point, asking me why I was waiting. I honestly don't know, ya know? I didn't know why I was waiting. So, Denki and I started looking at engagement bands and those are way too expensive so we moved on to the next thing." Hanta's eyes widened as he realized what Korei had done. He felt like an idiot but he also knew that it wasn't just his fault. Korei was being really suspicious. "An apartment. Gran got involved, and so did your nan. There's a nice little apartment close to the university I'll be attending. Our grandmothers helped put a down payment on it, both of our names are on the lease, and most of our things are being moved into it as we speak. Also, Gran and Nan bought some furniture and everything. I was nervous to tell you because I know you probably wanted to look at apartments together. I just, I wanted to surprise you." She shrugged. "I didn't want to stress you out with packing and moving so I wanted to wait until after finals, so...yeah. What d'ya think?"

"I think that you broke my heart and scared the hell out of me when I walked in, " he confessed. Korei apologized and he leaned down to kiss her as a way to shut her up. "But, I can't wait to move into an apartment with you. I wish you would have told me before, then I wouldn't have torn myself up. I knew something was up, you were acting really weird."

"I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to."

"It doesn't matter. We'll be moving into the apartment in no time and then it'll just be me and you. I can't wait." Hanta smiled, his tears dried. Korei pulled him down for a passionate kiss before the two departed and hurriedly made their way out of her dorm to the school. Korei gave him a good luck kiss before they parted ways but he didn't need luck. Hanta was convinced that he just needed Korei and everything else would fall into place.
