"Hey, what's up?" Mina asked when she saw her friend standing at the door, completely torn up. She's only seen Hanta cry a few times before, knowing that he was a mostly laid back guy. "What's wrong, bro? Come in! Mom, Sero's here!"

"Sorry, " he mumbled, wiping the tears from his eyes. It hadn't been but five minutes since he left Korei at the apartment. "I just need a place to stay for a bit." He was missing her but he really needed a breather. It's not that he needed time away from her, he just didn't think about his actions. He was still a kid, pretending to be an adult because he wanted people to think that he was more 'mature' than he actually was. Korei didn't care either way but Hanta kept this little act going. He wanted to be the first of his friends to have his life together, but it's not a competition.

"Of course, " Mina nodded, confused but not wanting to pry. "Mom made some lunch if you'd like some." Hanta shook his head, telling her that he wasn't that hungry anyway. This really surprised the pink-haired girl, her knowing that he was never one to turn food down. "Look, you need to tell me what happened right now, even if you don't want to talk about it."

Hanta looked up from the ground, tear-filled black eyes meeting her yellow ones. "It's stupid, " he mumbled and Mina just rolled her eyes, tugging her friend into her house. Her mother even greeted the young boy, pulling him in for a hug and asking what was wrong. Mina was always a really good friend of Hanta's, he spent many summer days spending the night and playing videogames with her. Mina was always easier to talk to when any of the boys had an issue. She always said that she was the aunt of the group because if she were the mother, then she'd beat all of them. He sucked up his heartbreak, straightening up and facing the two women. "Korei and I got into an argument, " he didn't even get to finish his sentence before Mina was throwing her hands in the air.

"That girl again? What happened this time?" Mrs. Ashido asked, folding her arms over her chest. Hanta's shoulders dropped as he nodded his head. Mina, despite wanting the two to get together initially, didn't like the way that Korei treated Hanta. She thought he deserved someone better, but she also knew that he loved Korei and she loved him. "Did she cheat on ya with the red-haired one? What's his name, Minny? The one with shark teeth."

"Kirishima? Saito didn't technically cheat. They weren't together, " Mina clarified, her mother rolling her eyes and leaning against the counter. "It's not cheating."

"I don't care, she hurt him."

"Well, I was with another girl. Korei kinda...walked in on us and everything. It was literally minutes before we started dating." Hanta said, trying to get Mrs. Ashido to not dislike Korei as much. "But that's not what it's about...at least, I don't think it is. She's been stressing because she's got a paper due tomorrow for this internship that she really wants. I don't think she should be so stressed, I know she's got it in the bag, she's so smart, ya know?" He smiled as he thought about how intelligent she actually was. "And I just want her to calm down and relax. Well, she was upset with me because she says that all I ever think about is sex, which...might be true but also not because I'm still technically a virgin."

"Woah, wait. You're still a virgin after the stuff I bought you for Christmas?" Mina gasped, eyes wide. "I can't believe that, bro! Are you kidding?" Mrs. Ashido smacked her on the back of her head before motioning for Hanta to continue.

"I'm saving myself...for, well, for tomorrow actually. It's our one year anniversary and I wanted to give myself to her, but...she just...she got mad and like brought it up in the argument that she didn't think I wanted to marry her because of it. She didn't technically say it, but she hinted at it and then I pushed her until she said it. It hurt a lot more to actually hear it because I kinda always thought she was thinking it and now I know she was." He mumbled out, running a hand over his face as he felt the tears coming back. "It makes me mad because she always said it didn't matter, but it obviously does, ya know? Why couldn't she just say that? Why'd she have to bring it up in an argument?"

"That's what arguments are for, Hanta." Mrs. Ashido said, placing a comforting hand on the boy's shoulder. "People say things they don't mean because they know it'll hurt the other person. What did you say?"

"I, " he looked down at his feet, shoulders dropping further. "I called her a bitch." He confessed, his voice quiet from the shame that he felt. Mrs. Ashido and Mina shared a look, knowing that it's so much worse when you call someone a bitch while arguing with them. "I didn't even apologize. I just stood there while she got upset. Everything was calming down and then I did that. Why did I have to do that?"

Mina's phone beeped as her mother comforted Hanta. She checked it, figuring there was nothing wrong with that. She frowned as she read over the message that she had received. Korei cared, and she really was just stressed out. Mina was not the person who determined if they break up or not. Hanta shouldn't be here right now, he needed to go and talk to Korei. They needed to fix things...or they might never fix things.

Korei 🧐

'Please let me know if Hanta stops by. I just want to know that he's okay and he left his phone here at the apartment. If he doesn't want you to tell me, make sure he gets something to eat. He hasn't eaten lunch yet. Thank you 💗'

"Hanta, " she never called him by his first name. That was just something she didn't do, even though she allowed everyone to call her by her first name. Mina placed her phone on the counter, not bothering to respond, looking up at her sad friend being hugged by her mother. "You have to leave."

"What? Why?" He asked, looking shocked and worried. Had he done something to hurt Mina? Was she mad that her mother was hugging him? What was going on?

Mrs. Ashido understood, confirming that he did have to leave. The poor boy stared at them with hurt in his eyes, thinking that his...family was putting him out because they were upset with him. He didn't know that calling a girl a bitch was this bad.

"Go home, okay? Go talk to her, tell her how you feel. A relationship has to have communication if you want it to work." Mrs. Ashido said, Mina nodding in agreement. Hanta pouted, trying to find a reason to stay but he actually wanted to go back home. He wanted to hold Korei in his arms, kiss her over and over again, and tell her just how madly in love with her he is. "If you really want to stay here, you can. But if you're not gone in the next two hours, you better break up with that girl."

Just the thought of breaking up with Korei made him visibly upset. He didn't want to leave her, that much was certain, so he did what he knew he should have. He thanked Mina and her mother, leaving the house and heading straight for his shared apartment. Korei was his fiance, of course, there was going to be arguments, but if they were going to get married, they had to work through them. Hell, it's their anniversary tomorrow! He wants her...no-one else, so he was going to put his all into them. No matter what.
