{Chapter 22}

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves. Change is INEVITABLE and progress is OPTIONAL. Any change, even a change for the better, is ALWAYS accompanied by drawbacks and discomforts.

The warehouse was dark and creepy. We walked through the quiet halls and made our way into the basement and heard a mans voice.
We stopped short as Stiles tripped over something and fell.

"Stiles what the hell?!" Scott whisper yelled.

Stiles then flashed a light on the floor and it was a dead body laying there and he jumped up. I screamed but, Scott quickly covered my mouth, so we won't get caught.

We continued walking, but stopped short again, when we heard the mans voice again, but clearer.

"Your all such a fucking disgrace" right after the man said that we heard a hit so hard like someone was being punched in the face.

We walked towards the sound and I gasped when I saw who the victim.
It was Derek.

There was also another girl that was also held captive.

My eyes started to tear and Scott pulled me back and ran into the room with Liam and started to attack the man who was harming Derek and the girl, but the man fought back hitting Scott so hard he hit the wall.

Stiles then ran in and hit another guy who appeared out of the darkness in the face with his bat.

Scott stood back up but was quickly hit in the head with a chair.
I ran in panicked and raised the gun.

"Ashley?" I heard Derek's voice and turned to look at him. I had tears in my eyes. I looked away and looked at the main person who hurt Derek.

Breath in, breath out, breath in... BOOM!!

I was shaking, "I shot him, oh my god I shot him"

Next thing I new I was in Derek's arms bridal style and Scott and Stiles were helping the girl.

"Derek are you okay?" I asked as we sat in the ambulance. I was holding his face. Mine inches away from his. Not to long ago they cleaned all the blood off his face.

"I'm fine babe" he pecked my lips for a moment then pulled away "is the baby okay?" He asked looking down and putting his hands on my belly rubbing it softly.

"Yes she's fine" I smiled, he smiled back then I kissed his lips once again.

"Thanks for saving me" I heard a girl say once Derek and I pulled away I turned around and started walking towards them.

"How are you holding up?" I asked concerned.

"I'm fine thanks for coming in because if you guys didn't come I don't know what would've happened" she answered.

"Do you go to Beacon Hills High School?" I asked.

"I just recently moved here and I should be starting school next week sometime" she answered.
