At the Lookout

Evening had struck and the pups were in the lookout watching a movie, trying to get their minds off of the stressful day they had endured. Well, most of them were at least. One pup couldn't get the situation out of her mind so she went to her pup house.

Skye was in a deep state of thinking and regret. She knew she couldn't feel sorry for herself forever and no amount of tears could possibly bring Chase back. Clearly, he had endured his own share of tears when he heard their meeting. She couldn't blame him for feeling unloved or hated, but that couldn't of been any further away from the truth.

"I can't just let him leave me" Skye says to herself while thinking of the Shepherd. "I love him and I can't just get over him not being here. He's our pup leader, our police pup. A member of the family that we can't just pretend never existed. I could never do that!"

The Cockapoo, however, doesn't know what to do. If Chase didn't want to come back then that was that. She couldn't drag him out of Jake and Everest's cabin. Even if she wishes she could.

"Wait a minute. Everest!" Skye says to herself. "I sure hope she's still awake" The cockapoo says as she calls in for the Husky.

At Jake's Cabin

After the pups had awaken from their naps they talked. They talked about how the Paw Patrol will be. How living here will be for Chase. How the future will look, and they had to admit; most of it was pretty depressing. It definitely caused a few tears just from the thought. So the two decide to watch a movie that evening to help brighten the mood just a bit.

Jake had returned a bit earlier but left the napping pups alone. They had agreed on an action/romance movie. Neither of them particularly cared for the romance aspect but they knew that too much action could get old really fast. Plus, love is something that  the two would appreciate seeing. It was positive and could really lift their downed spirits.

The two were laying together on the couch and cuddled up in a blanket, watching intently.

"This is really nice" Everest says as the two watch the action ensue.

"Yeah, I really like this movie" Chase replies.

"Yeah, it's nice watching a movie with someone else. Jake is usually busy with something so I usually watch these by myself" Everest explains.

"Well, I'm happy to watch this with you. It's actually been nice spending the day with you, even if we were sleep for most of it" Chase says with a chuckle.

Everest laughs

"Yeah this has been fun. I'm actually really glad you're here" The husky says with a smile.

The two continue watching until Everest's pup tag beeps.

"Hello? Everest?" A familiar feminine voice says through Everest's pup tag, catching the Husky and Shepherd off guard.

"Skye?" Everest says in surprise. "What's up?"

It's clear that Skye is thinking of how to respond. She's quiet for a moment longer before speaking.

"I-I just wanted to check and see how things were up there" The cockapoo says softly.

Everest and Chase look at each other before Everest replies.

"Uh things are pretty fine up here. Chase is getting adjusted to being here but it's been really fun" The husky says.

"Oh that's really nice, I'm happy for Chase and you" Skye says quietly.

"Uh...yeah, do you want to speak to Chase?" Everest suggests.

"Yes, please" Skye says dryly.

Chase scoots closer to Everest so he can get his voice in clearly.
