Chase and Skye were walking down a trail that lead from the cabin. It was sure to lead them to a nearby town. Now they could hang out and get a meal without having to make a trip all the way to Adventure Bay.

The two were mostly quiet as they were traveling. They seemed to be alone, but five pairs of wandering eyes proved otherwise, peeping from behind some trees.

"So...this has been quite the experience" Chase begins.

Skye smiles.

"You can say that again" She replies with a chuckle. "We've had quite the time up here. It almost feels unreal when you think about how we were before all of this" the cockapoo continues.

"That's exactly what I was thinking. Life threw a curveball fast. I never would've seen any of this coming. Although...I can't blame this completely on life" Chase says as a frown begins to form on his face.

Skye stops and looks him in the eyes.

"What do you mean?" The cockapoo asks in concern.

"After the way I reacted to you guys having that meeting, I seriously question me ever being a police pup. I was so sensitive and I blame myself for most of this" Chase says with a sigh.

The pups were listening in and they felt sorry for their friend. They all wanted to tell him that they don't blame him and he shouldn't blame himself, but they had to remain hidden. They were watchdogs and spies at this moment. Forced to only hide and watch.

Skye puts her paws on Chase's shoulders.

"Chase it was completely normal for you to feel that way after hearing us. That's exactly why we kept it hidden, because we knew that no one deserved to hear that. That's why I still regret ever letting that happen. I'm really sorry Chase" The cockapoo says as she gives the Shepherd a hug.

"Aww" the hidden pups whisper amongst themselves. They were touched by the sweet moment.

Chase's smile starts to form again as they continue their walk.

"Targets are on the move. Repeat. Targets are on the move" Rubble says in commander tone.

"Rubble we all saw them move" Rocky replies with an eye roll as the pups continue their pursuit.

"Ya know Skye there's something I realized" Chase says.

The cockapoo turned to him as they made their way to the nearby town.

"What's that?" Skye asks.

"Ever since I left, you've been the one showing me the most attention. You apologized the most, showed the most regret and you even walked all the way up here just to talk to me" Chase explains.

Skye blushes as she realizes just how much effort she put towards the Shepherd.

"Well, of course I did. I really care about you Chase and it broke my heart when I realized how sad we made you. I never meant for things to go like that so I tried to do whatever I could to let you know I was truly sorry" Skye says as she nuzzles the Shepherd.

Chase beamed brightly and nuzzles her back. He was starting to feel something.

"Thanks Skye, and just in case you were wondering, I completely forgive you for all of that. I could never stay mad at you" The Shepherd replied.

Skye smiles back.

"Thanks Chase! I'm really glad you feel that way. I don't know what I'd do if you hated me. You mean so much to me" Skye says feeling warm inside.

Chase blushed at the comment.

"I could never hate you Skye. You're so lovable" The Shepherd replied with a bright grin.
