Jake's Cabin Earlier that day

Everest watches the troubled Shepherd go into a corner and lay down to nap. She felt so distressed watching him. She wanted Chase to be happy and at first she thought they were starting to get happy but now she wasn't so sure. She couldn't help but blame herself.

"Ugh Everest, why did you have to say that? He was finally starting to earn his smile back and you just had to guilt trip him back into this...this depression. What kind of girlfriend are you?! Clearly not a ready one." The Husky thinks to herself as she lowers her head in sadness.

She knew that dating someone was a big commitment with hardships but she should have known better than to of tested the waters with someone who was currently emotionally scarred and unstable.

"He's right. I am being just as bad as the other pups were. I-I can't do this" The Husky says as she starts to slowly break down into tears. She tries her best to conceal them.

Across the room, the other pups were chatting amongst themselves. Rubble was talking about the next meal they were gonna have and asking about the channels that were on TV. He was hoping he could watch Apollo the Super Pup. Rocky was taking this time to think of a new snow-themed invention that could possibly be used for future missions, and Zuma and Marshall were just talking about random things.

Skye, however was sitting alone. She wasn't in a strong mood to speak. She felt very odd about the current state of the Paw Patrol. She wasn't sure if anything could go back to the way it used to be. The thought really saddened her.

"I miss when things were a lot easier. None of our problems ever lasted more than a day but this...this is different" the cockapoo thinks while reminiscing on happier times.

Skye gets lost in her thoughts when she notices the Husky across the room. She notices that she appeared to be crying or at least on the verge of tears. Skye was conflicted. A devious part of her wanted to enjoy this moment, considering the events of the previous night. However, she could never be so heartless. She was still a loving and caring Cockapoo. She sucked up her pride and slowly walked over to the sad Husky.

As she got closer to the Husky, she couldn't help but get upset thinking about the previous night. She couldn't see her as Everest, her formal best friend. Now she could only ever see her as the person who got between her and Chase. As angry as the thought made her, she had to admit, she wasn't exactly an angel that night either. That night was rough for everyone but she couldn't let it be the breaking point. She got close to the Husky and paused before speaking up.

"E-Everest? Are you ok?" The Cockapoo says quietly to the Husky, trying not to draw attention to them.

Everest jumps at the sound of the Cockapoo's voice. She was startled but quickly calmed down when she could see the sympathetic look on her face. She was still confused by her approach though.

"H-hey Skye, I'm...ok.  Why do you ask?" Everest asks while sniffling.

Skye wanted to walk away before her mind pulled her into anger again but she held back and instead tried to help the Husky who was clearly in distress.

"You just seemed upset. I wanted to make sure you were fine" Skye says as she manages to use all of her strength to force out a smile.

Everest couldn't believe it. There was no way she was speaking to the same pup that was yelling, clawing at her and was on the verge of killing her the night before. She felt uneasy.

"Are-aren't you still mad about last night?" The Husky asks as she finishes wiping off her tears.

Skye paused for a minute and thought. Was she really gonna ignore the events of last night? That was no minor disagreement or issue, that was a full fledged fight that was filled with blood, but...but she was above this.
