Adrien's P.O.V:
I stared at the computer screen as the purchase was being processed and felt a sense of relief come over me. I'm one step closer to getting Marinette out of this mess.
The more I thought about it, the more messed up it became. My father, a scientist and part time fashion designer (although if you asked him, he'd call it more of a hobby)... He took my girlfriend and sent her across seas... He sold my girlfriend.
Why? Because he'd finished researching her and saw some sort of profit from it.
...Let's just say I'm beginning to see my father in a new light.
"Adrien?"
I jumped slightly and quickly minimized the tab at the sound of my name being called. Once I had calmed myself, I looked towards the door to see Nathalie standing at it.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to startle you.." Nathalie stated in a strange voice, as if something was off-
As if she had seen something.
"I'll be sure to knock next time- Your dinner will be ready shortly sir." she stated, avoiding eye contact before leaving the room. I watched her leave before looking back towards my computer and thinking about what just happened.
'W-wait... did she think-'
I turned beet red and opened the tab again, trying to disregard the fateful encounter and thankful to see the "successful purchase" on the center of my screen.
Now, for Nino- I picked up my phone and texted Nino explaining that I needed to catch a flight tomorrow and that he needed him to cover and say he was staying the weekend at his. Nino at first disagreed stating it was too dangerous but after a quiet phone call explaining, he agreed to cover for me.
Now for the tricky part... Getting my father's permission to "stay at Nino's for the weekend".
I'd ask him after dinner, for now; I'd complete my homework, play piano and stay on his good side.
Marinette's P.O.V:
I wake up to find myself fastened into a car and quickly sat up looking around to see the gorrilla (bodyguard) beside me, we were in the parking lot of an airport-?
"Good, you're awake. Here's your passport and ticket." A very familiar voice called out from the front passenger seat as a brown passport and ticket was shoved into my face. I looked down to see my picture on the passport but accompanied with the name "Marianne Lenoir" with a fake birthdate too.
They'd changed my identity?
"Go through security like normal, get on the flight and then once you arrive you'll be driven to the park." The voice stated.
"And what makes you think that I won't just scream for help once you get me out in public?" I stated plainly.
"I have a feeling my son might be aware of your... nature... I'm sure if I offered to go on a fishing trip with him he could accidentally lead me to your home and... I could take some more of your friends captive-"
"You wouldn't-" I practically spat my words out. How dare he. How dare he blackmail me.
"Would I not?" He instantly responded, calling my bluff.
I sighed and looked out of the window. It seems no matter what I do or where I go, my people still seem to be at risk.
"Good girl." I saw the dark figure look back to the body guard. "Have a safe flight."
And like magic, at the sound of those words, the gorrilla opened the car door, got out, walked out to my side, opened the car door and waited there.
This was really happening.
I was really being kidnapped.
And there was nothing that I could do about it.
