We lay together, intertwined, sweaty, and needing another shower. Helen played with my chest hair, her head on my shoulder. Morgan is tucked over my arm on the other side, and Jessica is sprawled across all three of us, her head resting on Morgan's lower belly.

"That was a hard wake-up call" Helen said. She twirled her finger, making swirlies. "I have never had anything like this in my life. I saw me losing you all, and I about went insane. I have never felt this way about anyone, and I feel it about three, all at once? How did that even happen?"

Jessica rubbed her face on Morgan's skin, and her fingers traced along Helen's hips. "Well, you see there is the thing, where a girl meets a girl... And a boy... And another girl and they fall in love. It's a story as old as time."

"I have not heard that story." Morgan said

"Does the girl get the girl, and the boy, and the girl, in the end?" I asked.

"Oh yes, they have very happy ends." Jessica said.

Morgan slipped her hand onto my abdomen, then down between Jessica and me, found what she was looking for, and held me firmly.

"Are you going to make that hard again?" Jessica asked.

"If I can." Morgan said. "I want more happy end."

"You are so greedy." Jessica commented. "I love that about you."

"Helen got most of the boy-love last time. I want more." Morgan said. "Simple math. Give me all you loving, all your hugs and kisses too." She quoted, rather than sang the ZZ Top song.

"If I start acting the fool again, please tell me sooner." Helen asked. "All of you? If it's just one, I may be stupid and not hear it. It took Morgan kicking in my teeth, figuratively, to make me realize that Adrain was not just complaining. He was miserable, and not about the job, but thinking I was coming after him again with more. I couldn't see it."

"How many men have you married down the centuries that would have loved for you to do that: to help them move into positions of power, money, and influence?" Morgan asked.

"All of them? It was why I married human men. I help them, they move up, they are happy. I gain a position we need, in Vampiredom, to influence certain things. That is the trade. I made it all the time." Helen said.

"How many of those men loved you? Not physically: I am sure all of them dug the sex. I mean with their hearts and minds?" I asked.

"Hmm. Well, two maybe?" Helen replied. "Since there was no Catalyst Vampire around, I was sterile to them, and all of them had mistresses so they could have children. I raised a fair few of them as if they were mine. One was even the same kind of blonde, so people bought it."

"You sold yourself to humans, for years on end, to further the Vampire cause. It is no wonder you did not really see the damage you were doing to him. He has only one ambition in life: taking us to bed." Morgan said, with a squeeze. "Well, that and playing with his daughters. The ones he got from taking us to bed."

Helen dropped her hand that was swirling hair to meet Morgan's. "That is true. All of it. I know Adrain has upward ambitions. What he wants to spend time on. No desire for power and he has all the money he wants already: Enough to have a house big enough for his family and food on their table. He is both a simple man and an insanely talented one, in some very subtle ways. I feel his potential. I have never, in my life, loved a man as I love him. It's not just because he jumps my bones every chance he gets... For one thing, when he is mad at you, that stops. Be warned, ladies: You want yourself some boy? Don't do what I did."

"I am curious. Don't answer if this bugs you, but when you and Rachel broke up and got together over the centuries. Was it this exact issue? Or something else?" Morgan has wondered about this subject for a while.
