Sam Parker and Ken Cunningham make an appointment to see Morgan in her office. Sam was her partner on the force in Houston, and Ken one of her lovers.
Each man has a problem they think they need Morgan to help with.
Morgan goes back to Houston, family along to help, and reconnects with several parts of her past as a Homicide cop there.
Note: It is not necessary to read 'Lonely Dancer' or any other Morgan stand-alone novels. Context will be covered.
