A/N: since this story has been lacking updates. Here's two rando chapters I felt like posting <3 (originally posted without my fancy smancy chapter title oops xP)

Ex of an Ex

Harley Finley

After quickly pulling my shorts back up my legs, I ran after Colten but I didn't expect everyone's eyes to be glued to me when I reentered the bar.

Every single pair of heated eyes glared me up and down. The big burly men at the bar counter, the skimpily dressed women that hung onto the guys as they played darts, and even the guys who surrounded Colten and Ian earlier at the pool table, all stared at me, looking my body up and down like I was the new kid at school. Seeing their knitted brows and narrowed eyes, I knew they didn't want to be friends.

Maybe bullies. Definite enemies.

I wasn't easily intimidated but this, this was torture in its finest making me feel small.

My face flushed as I adjusted my sweater and sucked in a breath, searching for Colten in the group.

He was nowhere to be found.

It made my heart twist feeling like I had just been backstabbed by the man who just admitted to ensuring my wellbeing and pledging to put it before himself.

"Well, well. Look what the cat dragged in." A twenty-something brunette teased as she hung onto an arm of a man I didn't recognize.

To be fair, I barely remembered any of these people.

"I'm sorry. You are?" I asked, taking careful steps forward in hopes to inch closer to the front exit.

"Oh, please, Harley. We've known each other since middle school. What? You moved to the big city and just forgot everyone?" She bit back with an eye roll.

Pretty much. I mentally agreed with an internal groan.

I tried to remember her auburn hair and bright green eyes that rested above a sea of freckles but nothing came to mind.

Then I decided to blame Colten for this whole mess. Had he not made my brain a scrambled mess before rushing out, maybe I would have remembered the woman who seemed to have some sort of spite towards me.

"Listen, I'm going to go. Everyone go back to your fun. Don't let me interrupt." I waved them off, trying to make my way to the front door but the girl stopped me, grabbing a fistful of my hair and yanking it to her face.

The sudden jerk and burning pressure to my scalp made me yelp.

"You little spoiled, bitch. What makes you think you could walk in here, my home away from home, and act like you don't remember me? Even after you stole my boyfriend from me in high school." She growled into my ear.

"Oh, fuck." I mumbled softly and closed my eyes tight. "You're still holding onto that, Sarah?"

"It's Sasha!" She pushed my head away but her claws for nails still imprinted to my scalp.

"Oh, Sasha. My bad. Get over it. Drew didn't want to be with you. I didn't tell him to break up with you, he did that all himself. Plus, it was fucking years ago." I argued, not ready to fight the small built girl and honestly, ready to get the fuck out of here before it became nasty.

"Please! You were all over him from the day we started dating!" She launched forward with an attempt to scratch at my face.

"Drew and I were best friends!" I jumped back, giving her a chance to come down from her drunken courage only for her to slap at my face. "Touch me again and you'll regret it."
