I tightened my hand around the handlebars of the bike where Harley finally accepted my help. It seemed more emotions came to me than they normally would. Usually, I'd be able to be calm and collected, able to think shit through before jumping head first into it all.

But I couldn't anymore when it came to her. She was clouding my judgement because all I could think about was her. The way she touched me with her nails, causing goosebumps down my skin. The way her eyes looked to mine with such lust whenever I'd catch her staring.

It was all too much now that she wasn't close to me.

All I could imagine was her body above me, begging me to make her feel good.

And fuck, I wanted to make her feel amazing.

But Elijah and her, their bloodline, was stubborn - acting as if they knew better than me. I could already feel my heart twisting, waiting for something bad to happen. It was only a matter of time before it does.

Nothing ever stays calm for long. The storm comes sooner or later and rips the happiness from whomever holds it.

I just need to get my mind clear again. Just long enough to figure this out so I could be with her.

It all started as me trying to be her knight and I have to tell you, it feels as if a sword had penetrated the metal padding to my chest when she left. It made me think, maybe I wasn't the one who was saving her.

Harley had been the one that opened the last chamber to my heart. The one I had sealed away for years after leaving home. It was a dungeon that only the most loving, determined soul could enter. So many had tried, all failing in the beginning - not able to hang on long enough for me to see if they were the ones, if they were worth my time and effort.

But with Harley, my angel - god, she really was my angel - she somehow made it through. She held onto me until I was ready to face the feeling of Cupid's arrow.

I closed my eyes tight and rested a hand to the dusty, rusted motorcycle that I'd never let her ride again. No, I enjoyed having her behind me too much. Feeling her hands wrap around my body with all her strength was something I never wanted to lose.

There had to be more than just a piece of paper with random names on it in this fucking thing.

"You ready to get going?" Elijah asked from behind me. His voice calm and even knowing I was beyond pissed at him for letting the two women in our lives leave unprotected.

"No." I groaned. "Help me take off this exhaust first."

Elijah mumbled a few things under his breath before grabbing the metal cutter and helping me flip the bike upside down.

"Look man, I know you're mad at me but I'm not doing this to get at you."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes. "It's fine. All this pent up anger will be put to good use tomorrow night when I visit Harley. I have a serious question though."

"Mhm?"

"Do you like Uncle Elijah or Uncle Eli?"

Elijah forced a ha-ha as he drilled into the metal.

"Seriously though. Your sister is going to have my babies." I hummed, knowing I was getting under his skin with each honest word that left my lips.
