Paris, France
The soft silky eqyptian sheets lingered and molded through Sarah Elizabeth
Corleone's body, she was still half-asleep trying to prolong the warm rays of
the sun caressing her skin. Five more minutes, she thought. At 25, Sarah is
beautiful and her innocent charming beauty captivates you almost instantly.
Her smart shrewdness and caustic remarks would nearly take you aback but
her obvious sincerity and unpretentious expression hooks you back in. If not
for an almost unnoticeable limp on her left leg, she'd be almost perfect.
When she turned 20 years old, she moved to France with her grandfather. She
was born in the Philippines and lived there until her parents died in a car
accident.
Her grandfather, a widow of ten years, was in unconsolable grief to see his
only son and daughter in law die. They waited until Sarah graduated with
highest recognition in her chosen field of Foreign Finance at the Ateneo de
Manila University then decided to leave the place where most of her parent's
memories lingered.
Since she will miss the place who holds dearly to her heart, Sarah cried most
of the time boarding the plane going to France. All her friends lived in the
Philippines and they all gave her a party before she left. At first, Sarah was
a stranger to France. She was not fluent in their language so they decided to
let her take lessons. In no time at all, unbeknownst to her, Sarah was the talk
of the town. She was introduced and known to society as a classy lady with a
passion for horses. Many of the most sought after bachelors in France made
plans to pay their respects to her grandfather and to try catch a glimpse of
her. But Sarah paid no attention to these men, she is more anxious discussin
during late nights with her grandpa, their business and the politics it involves.
She is also starting to get busy managing their family business in New York
and California where she had to travel most of the time. Because of Sarah's
extra-ordinary talent in conglomerate take-overs, Corleone Industries was
partially turned over to her by her grandfaher and was appointed by the
board as president and CEO to two of their most profitable companies in the
United States. Now only at 25, Sarah is one of the youngest and most
successful in her field.
As Sarah stretched her slender body. She hugged her white soft pillows and
pushed a little built-in button at her right bedside table. The white door to her
bedroom opened to reveal a uniformed maid carrying a breakfast tray.
"Alicia , c'est trop de nourriture. Je ne peux pas manger tout ca." Sarah
