Indianapolis was larger than I had imagined. When we drove into a small town in it, we passed by a store, which contained several new televisions.

The quality was definitely better than the one I had back in Cincinnati.

Arvin and I once again stopped at a hotel early in the day. We planned on walking around town for a few days before we moved on to Chicago.

"Do you think this hotel has a pool?" I whispered to Arvin as he chuckled, looking down at me.

"Cant get enough water, can you?" He asked as I smiled, biting my tongue while shaking my head.

"I like to swim." I said as we walked to the front desk, checking into a room. The woman, who seemed to be no more than a few years older than us, eyed Arvin, a look in her eyes that I did not trust.

I found my hand connecting with his as I gave the woman a "fuck off" look before Arvin nodded to her in thanks, walking to our room.

My eyes lit up with excitement as I realized our room was only a few steps away from a pool, much larger than the other one we had previously been in.

Arvin and I set our bags on the small couch in our hotel room, a smile on my face as I looked over at him.

"So. What's the first place you want to go to?" I asked as he shrugged.

"Anywhere is alright with me." He said with a wink, a faint blush crossing my cheeks.

So, for that entire day, Arvin and I had walked around the town, hands clasped tightly together as we looked at our surroundings, smiles on our faces.

We walked back into the hotel room, a small chuckle leaving my throat as I speed walked over to my bag, grabbing my swimsuit and bolting to the bathroom.

When I walked out, Arvin was leaning on the front door, waiting with a smile, his arms crossed.

"You ready?" He asked. I smiled, nodding as I took his hand in mine, grabbing two towels as we walked out and across the hall.

What I had found strange was that the pool was also empty, not even a fly was in the room. I shrugged it off. It only meant I'd get to spend time with Arvin alone, the faint music playing in the pool room.

I set my towel on one of the reclining chairs before I heard a splash, turning around to see Arvin pop out of the water, flipping his hair out of the way.

I giggled quietly before running to the pool, diving in with grace. I swam up, my face inches away from Arvin's.

The song that was previously playing stopped, and Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling in Love" started to play.

Arvin dragged me over to the shallow end, where he took both of his hands in mine, slowly spinning around before he spun me around, pulling me to his chest, his hands still holding mine as he wrapped them around my stomach.

He rested his head on my shoulder as we swayed back and forth to the music, his near silent humming quiet in my ear. I turned my head to look at him, his brown eyes looking as if they were smiling as wide as his lips were.

I craned my neck up, my lips meeting his in a long, passionate and loving kiss, the smile still on his face. One of Arvin's hands cupped my jaw.

I turned around slowly as he backed up, leaning against the edge of the pool as my arms wrapped around his neck, his hands grazing up and down my hips.

We both stopped, turning as we heard children's laughter outside.

"Well shit..." Arvin muttered under his breath as I laughed quietly, backing away from him, slowly bending down until my head was the only thing above water.

"Maybe next time." I joked with a wink as Arvin's brows rose, his cheeks tinting as a small family walked into the pool.

At this point, Arvin and I took this as our cue to leave, grabbing our towels and drying ourselves off before walking out of the pool room as the children jumped into the pool, howling with laughter.

I felt his hand on my back, slowly lowering to my hip as we walked into our hotel room.

I knew the reason why my heart was pounding so fast, but I hated that it didn't stop even after I laid next to Arvin after changing.

"Goodnight Em." Arvin whispered into my ear, a small smile in his voice as his hot breath on my neck sent a shiver up my spine.

"Goodnight Arvin." I replied back, resting my head on his shoulder as my arms linked around his.

It couldn't have been earlier than 2 in the morning when there was an aggressive pounding at our door, sending both me and Arvin shooting up from our sleep.

"ICP open the door! We just want to talk!" An officer yelled from the other side of the door as I gasped quietly. Arvin turned to me, mentally telling me to get my things together.

I wasted no time, packing my stuff, not bothering to fold anything as I looked at Arvin, who was sliding open the window.

"Come on Emily. Out the window." He whispered as I chucked my bag out the window before Arvin helped me out.

As soon as he slid the window shut, the hotel room door burst open, flashlights blinding me as there was yelling.

"Get to the car!" Arcing yelled as I swooped my bag off the ground, bolting to the car and sliding in.

I'm for precaution, I opened the glove compartment, grabbing my gun as Arvin started the car. I looked out the window to see the cops getting in their cars as soon as we started to drive onto the empty road, the cops close to us.

"We gotta lose them Arvin!" I yelled as he nodded. I turned to him before slowly looking at my gun.

I grabbed a few bullets, slipping them into the gun before rolling my window down as we slowly started to race away.

"Emily what are you doing?!" Arvin yelled as I started to climb out, sitting on the window.

"Keep driving! I won't kill no body!" I yelled as the wind blew my hair around.

"I hope" I muttered to myself as I cocked my gun, doing my best to aim it at the wheels of the cop car.

And I shot. There was a screech as the car swerved, flipping on its side and rolling as Arvin continued to drive away.

My heart was beating faster than it was hours ago. I slid back into the car, my chest heaving as I tried to breath.

There was only a single car, so Arvin stopped, turning to me. He grabbed my face, quickly pulling me into a harsh kiss.

"That was the best damn shooting I've seen in my life." He said with a smile as I rose my brows, biting my lower lip.

"Really?" I asked as Arvin nodded, giving me another kiss before he started to drive again.

"Where'd you learn to shoot like that, anyhow?" Arvin asked as he had one hand on the wheel, the other on his knee.

"Oh... My adoptive father and I would hunt for food a lot. Taught me most of the things I know today." I said with a small smile as Arvin nodded.

"Well. You can thank him." He said, turning my head to face Arvin.

"Thank him?"

"For saving our asses."
