Arvin and I had made it to Wisconsin quickly, taking a stop at Madison for the day. Unlike the time we had wasted money on large and fancy hotels, we stayed in cheap motels. We didn't plan on staying in the States any longer.
As I stowed away the money in unsuspecting bags while Arvin got us a room, I could faintly smell the stentch if hard liquor behind me.
"Shit..." I muttered under my breath as I looked in the reflection to see a man in baggy clothing standing behind me, staring at my ass.
"Looking for something?" I said coldly as he chuckled, peeking over my shoulder.
"A nice time. And some cash." He shot back. "How'd you get all that money?"
"You want your nose back? It was in my business." I said as I showed him a fist. He stared at it for a mere moment before it connected with his face, a crack sounding as he stumbled onto the ground, already holding a bloody nose.
"You'll pay for this you little bitch!" The man said as he shot up, swinging a fist my way. I blocked the hit, grabbing his fist and punching him in the gut several times before kicking my fists together, raising my arms and bringing my elbows down onto his back. The man fell down as I kicked him several times.
"Learn to be nice! To a. LADY!" I yelled before drop kicking his face, knocking him out senseless. I huffed, wiping my nose.
At least, I thought I knocked him out. When I noticed he wasn't breathing, I groaned.
"God damnit." I said under my breath. I was getting tired of killing at this point. I picked up the man's legs, dragging him between the alleyway, sitting him up in the dumpster.
I looked down at my knuckles, which were split and bloody. "God. FUCKING damnit." I yelled, slapping the dead man's face. "Look what you did!" I said, even though I knew it was my fault.
I felt like I was slowly losing my mind. Or that could still be the candy rush I was on. I groaned, walking out of the alleyway as Arvin spotted me, running over and grabbing my hands. I held back a hiss of pain as he looked at my knuckles, anger washing over his face.
"Where is he? I swear to God I'll kill him-"
"Already got that covered. Accidentally kued him wtba kick to the face. Weak skull." I scoffed as Arvin took his hand in mine, leading me to the motel room.
The parking lot was absolutely dead, not another car by the receptionists was there, which meant we had the place to ourselves.
Arvin sat me down on the lumpy bed as he walked into the tiny bathroom, grabbing a cloth and dipping it under hot water.
He walked back out, sitting down next to me and gently took my hand. For a mere moment, I winced, the hot water burning my open wounds before I subsided it, a relaxed feeling washing over me as Arvin wiped away the blood and cleaned my wounds.
"I can do it myself, you know." I said as Arvin looked up at me through his lashes, not moving his head as he continued to wipe away the blood.
"I know." He answered as he continued. "I just choose to do it for you." He said as he wiped away the blood on the other hand.
"You want to know what else you can do for me?" I said with a sly smirk as Arvin furrowed his brows, looking up at me.
For a moment, he was confused, until the realization hit him. And then the look that came next sent a large shiver up my spine.
Slowly, I grabbed the wet cloth from his hands, tossing it aside on the nightstand without removing my eyes off of Arvin's as his hand slithered up and around the back of my neck, pulling me into a long and deep kiss.
I leaned back and to the side as Arvin stood up, lips still connected to mine as he stood above me, hands next to my shoulders, holding him above me.
One of his hands slid down to my hip, gliding across my stomach and went up, finding its way to the buttons on my dress shirt.
He slowly and teasingly unbuttoned my shirt, only making it to three buttons before there was a knock on the door.
"God dammit..." we both muttered under our breaths. I looked up at Arvin, a laugh I held back escaping me as I covered my mouth, snorting.
Their was lipstick all over his mouth. But he only laughed back. There was another knock on the door, alerting me and Arvin again as he pushed himself off of me, looking in the mirror.
He went to the bathroom, quickly wiping off the lipstick as I fixed mine, the knocking becoming impatient.
Arvin groaned, swinging open the door. I watched him stiffen, his eyes no doubt widening as he saw a cop in front of the door.
"Arvin Russell?" The cop said as I froze, turning to the door. I slowly walked over, my hands behind my back as I peeked over his shoulder.
"Y-yes? How-How did you find me..." he said, stammering.
"I was told you two would be here by an anonymous person." The cop said as I frowned, looking at Arvin.
"What is it officer? Have we done something wrong?" I asked as the officer removed his sunglasses.
"Yes. You have." He said as Arvin and I'd breathing hitched.
"You haven't been killed yet." The second he said that Arvin slammed the door shut. I jumped into the bathroom as Arvin bolted to his bag, pulling out his gun.
"CAN WE PLEASE GET A WEEK OF PEACE?" I yelled as Arvin groaned in frustration.
There were several gunshots before the door was kicked open. I hid behind the bathroom door and locked it, tricking the cop into believing we were both in there.
"Come on out you two! I just want to talk!" The cop laughed as I covered my mouth, my heart racing as I heard a gun cock.
"And I want you." I heard Arvin say before a gun went off, then a thud.
I stood there, frozen in fear. "To die." I heard a deep voice say, thinking it wasn't Arvin's.
"ARVIN!" I screamed, unlocking the door. At this point, I didn't even care if the cop was going to kill me.
I wanted to be by Arvin's side if he did.
I ran into a body, who wrapped his arms tightly around me. I thrashed around, wailing and sobbing as I thought Arvin was dead for a moment.
"Darlin it's alright! I'm-im okay!" Arvin reassured as I looked up at him, tears running down my face.
"Arvin..." I whispered quietly before I smiled, a relieved laugh escaping me as I sobbed again, wrapping my arms tightly around him, afraid to let go.
"We have to go, you know..." he said quietly as I sighed, nodding.
We once again grabbed our bags, getting in the car and driving off.
"For once, I would like to have a nice week where we can relax in a hotel or motel, and not kill anybody!" I said as Arvin sighed, nodding in agreement.
How I couldn't wait to get to Canada.
