"Y/N! OH, MY DARLING!" you jumped as you were almost immediately enveloped in a bone crushing hug by none other than mrs. weasley herself. despite how many times you had been greeted like that, it never got old. you grinned, feeling the soot on your nose from just using the floo network to get to the burrow.
"hi mrs. weasley," you greeted in a teasing tone, knowing how much she hated you adressing her as such. she let you go and gave you a stern look, but couldn't help the smile on her lips.
"now, y/n, you've been with my son for almost a year, i think you know by now to call me molly." she giggled at the twinkle in your eyes, knowing you weren't gonna call her that anyways. you were so lucky that she liked you, as you were super worried when fred wanted to introduce you to his family. you, being a pure blood ravenclaw, were a bit anxious that you wouldn't fit in with the crazy gryffindors, but everyone (mostly molly) instantly took a liking to you. molly grinned like the cheshire cat as she watched you scold fred for being reckless.
"y/n!" you heard another, very familiar call and laughed as the twins jumped down the stairs two at a time, rushing over to you in a race. you giggled as george beat fred to it, hugging the life out of you as you struggled to breath. you and george had a very close bond and were best friends long before you met fred. you were shocked to say the least when fred bumped into you and you called him george. you still remember his cheeky comment.
"oh, hi georgie." you smiled as you steadied yourself from almost falling. it was the end of the day and you were racing back to the ravenclaw common room, but harshly bumped into someone. you couldn't help the joyous smile as you saw 'george' in front of you. the tall redhead smirked, a sparkle in his eyes that you didn't recognize. he leaned against the wall casually, just slightly peering over you. you could sense something wasn't quite right, and tilted your head the slightest.
"well, i'd love to be george right now," he mumbled as he looked you up and down slowly, making your eyes widen in utter confusion. surely george wouldn't just randomly start flirting with you, right? unless one of his pranks backfired and he suddenly gained confidence, you were sure it wasn't him. perhaps polyjuice? you were so weirded out, but he only gave you a quite charming smile and went to say something, but was cut off.
"oh! y/n. i see you've met fred; my twin brother." you looked behind you and saw an almost identical boy walking forward, one you quickly recognized as george, despite them looking so similar. your eyes narrowed and your mind was trying to keep up, almost glitching as you looked in between them frantically.
"your twin?!"
you giggled quietly at the memory and squeezed george back, looking behind him where fred stood; arms crossed and his signature grin on his face. your heart sped up, jumping as a blush tinted your cheeks. even though you were well into your tenth month of dating, everytime you saw him you still felt the same as when you admitted your crush on him.
"hi freddie," you breathed when george let you go. you stumbled over to your boyfriend and walked into his warm embrace, a cheesy smile on your face as he dug his nose into your shoulder, hugging you tightly.
"i missed you," he whispered and you hummed, letting go reluctantly. out of the corner of your eye you noticed molly basically squealing, looking in between you two with the widest of smiles. if anyone shipped you two together the most, it would be her. you always felt welcome at the burrow, and like you could be yourself. it was like a second home to you, and you basically lived there since you were always invited over.
"hey n/n!" ron called as he trampled down the stairs, passing you to go to the kitchen. you smiled and gave him a small wave. ron was the little brother you always wanted, and you actually got along quite well. soon enough mr. weasley arrived home from work and everyone gathered at the table for dinner. it was great, and everyone chatted up a storm, conversations going so quick you couldn't keep up. you looked over everyone with an appreciative smile as they laughed and joked around with members of their family. your dinners were never as comfortable as the weasley's.
you felt fred grab your hand under the table, and for the first time in a while;
