You sat in your empty cell thinking about what happened. You didn't think Hero and Notch would attack without you there. You hoped Jordan made it safely to Steve's and you prayed you'd get fed soon. You had been in the cell for about 4 hours since you were thrown in there. Your wrist was still slightly numb and bleeding.
"Clean that up." You jumped when you heard Matter's voice. A rag fell beside you and you looked to the small pile of blood from your wrist. You wiped it up and set the rag near the door.
"I'll be back." Matter made the rag float and walked away looking disgusted at the rag. Not even 5 minutes later Matter came back with some bandages. He opened the cell door and walked up to you.
"Let me see your wrist." He said sitting in front of you. You slowly lifted your wrist and gave it to him. He went for the bracelet and you tensed. He removed the bracelet and began wrapping your wound.
"Should I clean my wrist first?" You questioned. You knew you should.
"There's no water here. If we were at your house we would clean it, but we are here. There's no food or water." He explained. He finished wrapping your wrist and walked away with your bracelet. You decided to look around the cell for something to help you. There was nothing in there. You decided to instead try and get some sleep. You laid on your back and stared at the dull ceiling.
You felt a hand on your upper arm and sat up quickly. There was a man dressed in dark clothing staring at you. He pulled you up by the arm and walked you upstairs. At the top there were a bunch of similar looking men standing in a circle around Matter. It clicked while you were standing there, they were pillagers. Pillagers were a newer thing to the world. They were villagers who rebelled against their village and started their own group. They were badass people who you really didn't want to mess with.
"Who are you?" One man spoke, stepping out of the circle. He looked like the leader.
"We are travelers. We thought this place was abandoned and wanted to stay here." Matter lied straight to the man's face.
"Why was she in the cell?" The man questioned.
"She was sleeping while I was searching for food." He sounded convincing, that was for sure.
"The cell was locked sir." The man beside you spoke. The leader looked to the man then you, then right back to Matter.
"Why is that?" He asked Matter.
"It must have accidentally locked." He looked back at you like he was asking for help.
"That's not possible. I don't appreciated you lying to my face and trespassing." The leader brought out a weapon as did everyone else. The all rushed in at Matter and the man holding your arm dragged you back.
"You need to run." He quietly spoke. You were surprised. You didn't think they were kind to others.
"I can't." He looked puzzled by your words.
"Why?"
"He won't let me." You spoke looking at Matter.
"We will take him down." He spoke confidently.
"You can't. He took down both Herobrine and Notch." The man's eyes widened.
"I can hide you?" He suggested.
"It won't work, but thank you. I'll be ok." You smiled and the guy sighed before running into the fight. You just stood and watched as everyone clashed. It was very loud and gory. You gulped and looked away. It was just too much. You felt a hand on your shoulder and looked up right as you teleported away. You were now in your trashed living room. Matter stumbled over to the couch and closed his eyes.
"I need you to clean up." He mumbled.
You did as he said and began cleaning up. After finally getting your living room back in order you decided to work on your bedroom where the glass was. You were sweeping up and picking up the glass shards when one jabbed into your hand. You flinched back and looked at the tiny cut. You finished cleaning then walked into your bathroom to clean the small cut and your wrist. When you walked in you saw a tiny piece of paper sticking out of your cabinet and read it.
I'm sorry we couldn't save you.
I'm working on coming up with
a plan to get you out of there.
Notch is fine and trying to
figure out how to kill Matter.
Stay safe, I'm coming.
-HeroYou smiled as you read the note. You heard some footsteps and very quickly shoved it into your pocket. You unwrapped your wrist as Matter walked in.
"What are you doing?" He looked upset.
"Cleaning my wrist." You spoke calmly and monotone.
"I didn't say you could." He said angrily.
"I didn't think I would have to ask. You admitted if we were here that I could clean it, now we are here." You explained.
"You didn't help when they attacked me. You don't deserve it." He stepped closer to you causing you to step back.
"I figured you could do it, and anyway, how am I supposed to help you when my wrist is hurt?" You were making up dumb excuses but it was what it was.
"I thought you were tough. I asked an assassin for help, not some wimpy girl." You took a deep breathe to calm yourself.
"I simply know when to choose my battles, that was yours." You proceeded to turn on the water. He angrily turned the water off and grabbed your wrist. You cringed as his hand wrapped around the hurt part.
"My battles are your battles when you work with me." He said looking me directly in the eyes.
"Ok." You said in your same voice.
"Good. Now, wash up and drink a heeling potion. I need you to be able to help." He dropped your wrist and walked away. You rolled your eyes and began rinsing your wrist. After that you walked to your potions room and grabbed a healing one. You grabbed an extra and walked out. You set one next to Matter who was still lying on the couch, and you drank the other. You saw Matter grab the bottle and look at it confused. He pulled the cork and drank the potion. He set the bottle back on the arm of the couch and closed his eyes.
You grabbed both of the bottles and brought them to the kitchen to clean. You then grabbed yourself a baked potato and began eating it. You walked into the living room as you finished the potato and sat back on the couch. Matter's eyes were still closed. You looked at his torso to see it slowly sewing itself back together. Your eyes widened and you looked at it confused. You looked away and just leaned back. You closed your eyes and just rested.
You woke up to the sound of typing. You opened your eyes and sat up. A blanket fell off of you and you looked at it confused trying to figure out when exactly you used it. You looked over to the typing and saw Matter at the desk using the computer. He was typing so fast you weren't able to keep up with reading it all.
"Did you have a nice nap?" Matter questioned while still typing.
"How long was I asleep?" You stood up and stretched after speaking.
"Five hours." He responded. You were shocked. Five hours?
"I figured you needed the sleep. You must have been real tired if you were ok to fall asleep in the same room as me." He spoke. He was right, you wouldn't want to fall asleep in the same room as him, you didn't trust him.You walked into your kitchen to grab some carrots to eat. You walked into your living room and stood next to Matter who was typing still. You watched the numbers and letters pop up quickly and move along. Matter reached up and grabbed one of your carrots, shoving it in his mouth.
"Hey, these are mine." You stepped back as he reached for another.
"I'm hungry." He said turning to you.
"Then get your own food." You said before thinking. He looked at you with an 'excuse me' type look.
"Or- uh, what do you want?" You question.
"Carrots." He turned back to the screen and you walked into the kitchen. You grabbed him a plate of carrots and set them next to him.
