Luckily for Sherlock, who was one of the tallest people in his year, the tunnel was a lot taller than the entrance looked. It was dark, so he whispered "Lumos" and a bright light emitted from the tip of his wand. He continued down the tunnel and began to remember useful spells that he might have to use in the case of needing to fight. This was Moriarty though, so the answer was probably yes. As he neared a clearing, he felt the air go warmer, which was a relief after twenty minutes spent walking in a cold tunnel. He saw a flame on the side of the wall, and it illuminated seven different paths.

Sherlock was immediately able to mark of four of them, which he could tell had never been walked down before. This left three. Seeing as one of them looked like it was regually used, he dicided to walk down that one. However, when he got there, he saw a room with nothing else in it. Obviously a false trail. He went back to the clearing and decided to mark off the ones he knew weren't right with 'x' so that when the others came (hopefully soon) they could tell. He decided to go down the next on the right, and came to a door. Peering in, he could see three figures slumped on the floor.

Looking at them, he immediately recognised them as the three people who went missing- or three people who'd taken polyjuice potion to look like them. He walked away, marking the wall with a sign that looked like the words 'poly potn ppl'. He hoped that they could tell that he meant 'polyjuice potion people', but he marked the next one with an arrow, as he knew that this one was the tunnel that led him to John... And Moriarty.

He went down the path, which led a lot further down than the other ones. Soon he had reached a corner, and he turned and saw John, asleep but leaning on Moriarty, who had his wand out. Moriarty grinned at the sight of Sherlock, and began to speak.

"Sherlock! So nice of you to join us!" He said in a cheery voice. Sherlock made to move towards them, but Moriarty put up his left hand to stop him and pushed his wand into John's temple. Sherlock immediately stopped and Moriarty laughed. "You see, Sherlock. This is the final part of my plan."

"What do you mean?" Sherlock asked, his voice not portraying all of the emotions he was feeling right now. Worried. Annoyed. And... Scared?

"Look at you! You still don't know do you?" He giggled. Sherlock gave him a hard glare and jerked his head the tiniest bit to the right, as if to shake his head. "Let me explain..." Moriarty began.

"You see, I needed four people for my plan to work. I am going to take over the ministry of magic, but it will get better after that. I will controll everything, and everyone who will ever live. But to do that, I needed lenience over the most important people at the ministry. I needed their children."

"But they'll be sure to tell that their child is actually someone under polyjuice potion." Sherlock interrupted, seemingly triumphant that he had found a glitch. However, Moriarty just laughed.

"You didn't get it? Oh, how great! I know something that the grEAT SHERLOCK HOLMES DOESN'T" He continued. His voice had suddenly picked up and he was shouting loudly to the whole of the room. "I have them. The people in St.Mungos were the fakes! Cleverly changed to become how you would expect them to look. That's why they never woke up. There was never a dark curse!" He explained, laughing at the confused look on Sherlock's face.

"So I had the three ministry people's kids down here, and I fed them and kept them alive. But, I still knew that somehow you were going to get in the way. Sherlock Holmes, the abnormal first year that had caught my eye. I watched you and noted down things about you, Sherlock. I know your weakness. John Watson, they only person you trully trust and care for. And look, he's here now, just waking up" Moriarty concluded. He was right, John was just waking up. His eyes opened, and he looked up at the boy holding a wand to his temple.

His eyes opened wide as he realised what had happened. Then he saw Sherlock. "Run whilst you can, Sherlock!" He shouted.

"Go on then." Moriarty said. "Run." When he saw Sherlock standing still, he laughed louder that he had before. "But you can't. The unemotional Sherlock Holmes. Flawed by one ravenclaw boy who he actually cares about!"

His laughter was the only sound that could be heard. And for once, Sherlock had no idea what on earth to do.

A/N So, to thank everyone for being so suppotrive I have given you a longer chapter today. So plot twist- it was never a curse! I am so close to 2k, thank you so much if you are reading this!
