My jaw lightly dropped after he confessed. I don't know what to say, nor what to react. Nakatingin lang ako sa kanya ng diretso habang patuloy siya sa pagsasalita, pero parang ayaw magproseso ang lahat ng sinasabi niya na pawang hindi ko marinig iyon. Ang tangi ko lang naiintindihan ay ang salitang gusto niya ako, pero hindi ito kayang iproseso ng utak ko.

"Hey. Hey, you there?"

Bumalik ako sa katinuan nang winagayway niya ang kanyang kamay sa tapat ng mukha ko. Bahagya pa akong napaatras dahil dito. Seryoso ang tingin sa akin ni sir Darxon at saka ko lang napagtanto kung ano ang nangyayari.

"Sir... " Tanging sabi ko.

I was lost for words and I don't know what to say. There's a lot of phrases running on my mind, pero ni isa, walang lumalabas sa bibig ko dahil sa gulat sa sinabi ni sir Darxon.

"Ang plano ko, hindi ako aamin sa iyo kasi hindi ko alam kung paano iyon. But, I won't stop giving gifts to you, because just like the occasion, you're also special." He smiled and I just bit my lower lip, still dumbfounded of what to do.

"Just what I said, I don't know how to confess. I've never done it before. All of my life, I had it attached on gadgets and games and when I had Chasing Zen, mas lalong sumara ang mundo ko dahil pumasok ako sa gaming world, and was drone to it. I've never liked any girl before, not even once. Until you came."

He was full of words to say, habang ako ay tanging titig lang ang tinutugon ko sa kanya. Hindi sa first time kong may nag-confess sa akin, pero, it's my boss who confessed to me. It's the President of DZ Groups, the one of those head turner elite bachelor and the richest one in Asia. LIKE HELLO? WTF?

"I'm sorry if I talk too much. Hindi ko lang talaga mapigilan ang nararamdaman ko at nilalabas agad ito ng bibig ko." He apologized. "Ano, uh, did I startled you?"

It took me a while to answer, but in the end, I shook my head and let out a deep sigh. "May sasabihin ka pa po ba?"

"Bakit papaalisin mo na ba ako?" Tumawa siya na para bang wala lang nangyari. He was so cool with his confession, while I was already frozen in death. Is he just playing with my feelings?

"Did you just confessed?" I stated the obvious.

"Ito ang gusto mo diba? Hindi ko na nga sana sasabihin kasi hindi ko alam kung paano sisimulan, but you pushed." He shrugged and silence filled our surrounding.

"I guess, hindi mo ata nagustuhan yung narinig mo." Mahina niyang sabi at medyo naguilty ako sa ginawa ko dahil wala akong sagot mula sa sinasabi niya.

"Nagulat lang po ako sir." I finally found my voice. "Ah, gusto niyo po bang pumasok? Parang may gusto pa kayong sabihin ata eh."

"I'll say no this time." He let out a small smile, a bitter one I could say. "I guess I really startled you and this is not what you're expecting. Have some time for yourself, my confession might stressing you out."

Nakatingin lang ako ng diretso sa kanya habang nagsasalita siya at bahagya akong napaigtad dahil bigla niyang hinawakan ang kamay ko. Pinahawak niya lang pala yung mga paper bags na bitbit niya, na para bang binibigay na niya ito sa akin.

"Go inside now. The night's getting darker." His smile was never been erased, but this time, it's genuine. "Those are yours, keep them well."

"T-thank you." I was hesitant, but he already gave it to me at masyado naman siguro akong masama kung ibabalik ko pa kahit na binili niya ito para sa akin.
