Freed's Emotions

    "MR. ERAVIDO," it was barely a time when Freed felt chills upon someone calling his name. When he craned his back he saw Levi with the detective he might have hired. Inabisuhan siya ni Levi na kakausapin na niya si Detective Palomares ukol sa imbestigasyon ngunit sinabi ni Freed na nais niyang makapanayam mismo si Palomares.

    "My information aren't complete yet I still have to—"

    "I don't really care about the others. I just want to know if Sara and Annie De Vera are the same person," diretsuhan inudlot ni Freed ang sinasabi ni Palomares habang palapit ito sa kanyang desk.

    "Well, Annie De Vera is Sara..." nilapag ni Palomares ang envelope sa mesa ni Freed.

    "I wanted to break if to you in a nicer way but that is what you want," nakaramdam naman nang kaunting inis si Palomares.

    "Annie was adopted by her current parents now. Isa si Annie sa mga palaboy na bata noon na mukhang nakita ng butler niyong si Lee at naisip niyang dalhin sa bahay niyo upang maging isa sa mga kalaro mo araw-araw. I think Annie is also aware that she's adopted. Nakausap ko ang mga magulang niya pero wala silang alam kay Annie bilang Sara."
    "Okay, good. Thank you for your hard work. Levi will inform you about the money," aniya ni Freed at tangkang tatalikod n asana ngunit nagsalita ulit si Palomares.

    "...I also heard that you were kidnapped with Sara before. I also dig some information about the kidnapped 20 years ago. Sara was supposed to be dead."

    "I just needed you to confirm if Sara and Annie is the same person, that is just the scope of your work," Freed tapped the table loudly. Hindi na maitago ang umuusbong na galit nito.

    "Hindi ba't ipapakulong mo si Miss De Vera oras na mapatanuyan mong siya si Sara? Responsibilidad kong alamin kung dapat mo ba siyang ipakulong o hindi," hindi naman nagpasindak si Palomares at ipinaglaban niya ang pinaninidigan niya.

    "I don't believe that a ten-year old kid will kill you intentionally..." dagdag pa nito.
   
    "Whether she did it intentionally or not, she still stabbed me. How would you forgive?" mahinahahong saad ni Freed na nagpatikom sa bibig ni Palomares.

    Papunta na sana si Palomares sa elevator nang bigla siyang huminto na ikinagulat naman ni Levi.

    "Iimbestigahan ko pa rin ang kidnap na nangyari. Actually, I was also able to find out the whole kidnapping," humarap si Palomares kay Levi.

    "Hindi niyo po kailangang gawin iyon..." napayuko lamang si Levi.

    "The people who kidnapped them were captured five years ago by my seniors. Konektado sila sa sindikatong iniimbestigahan noon ng agency so I've got a copy of the case. Na-kidnap sina Freed at Sara ng sindikatong nagdadakip ng mga bata upang magbenta ng mga baril kaya sinasanay din nila ang mga bata upang makipaglaban. The first stage is to let the kids kill each other, right? I know that far."

    Mukhang tama nga ang sinabi nila tungol sa mga detectives ng NIA o National Intelligence Agency. Wala silang pinapalagpas na impormasyon kaya naman hindi na masyadong nagtaka si Levi na malayo na ang nalaman ni Palomares.
