    WALANG ibang nagawa si Annie kundi makinig at panoorin si Seth kung paano ito makipag-usap sa mga negosyanteng nakakakilala sa kanya. Maybe she's slowly realizing why Seth was a candidate for the position of CEO, she couldn't avoid feeling inferiority.

    "Mas tahimik ka pa pala sa inaakala ko, boss..." hinigit naman ni Seth ang braso ni Annie na mukhang hindi nakita ang mga taong palakad sa kanyang harapan.

    "Hindi kasi ako magaling makipag-usap," pag-amin naman nito.

    "I should be your secretary, then," pagbibiro naman nito.

    "My girlfriend is famous in business world so I needed to keep up with her," sumabay naman si Annie sa paglalakad kay Seth nang lubayan na siya ng mga kausap nito kanina.

    "She's smart, talkative, sexy and beautiful. I must prove to everyone that I deserve her, well...even if I am out of her league."

    Nakahanap naman sila ng high table na mapu-puwestohan dahil magsisimula na ang program. None of the program matters to Annie, she just came here for mere appearance.

    "I'll just make a phone call, wait me here," paalam ni Seth bago ito naglakad palayo.
    Samantala ay kumuha si Annie ng champagne sa isang waiter na dumaan bilang pag-alis ng umay niya sa gabing ito.

    "Yeah, absolutely...I'm planning to go there and visit the site..."

    She was about to take a sip into her champagne when a voice echoed on her mind so loud that every other sound wears thinner and that was the only thing she could hear.

    She stood there motionless. She didn't crane her back to confirm it because she didn't need to. How could she forget that voice she heard resounding in her mind and heart for those lovely nights spent with him? That even in her dreams, that voice is hunting her.

    When she felt those presence passed her by, she tilted her head to take a look at that man. She wasn't imagining anything, it was really Freed.

    Her heart squeezed when she finally saw him smiling while talking with other people. Masakit na nakaw na sandali lamang ang mayro'n siya upang titigan ito, ni hindi niya matitigan nang malaya sa takot na baka siya ay makita.

    Wala naman na siyang ibang hangad kundi ang makita siyang masaya kahit sa malayuan at kahit wala nang bahid ng kanyang nararamdaman ang nanatili sa puso niya.

    She was all fine accepting the fact that she's worthless to him but suppressing the feeling of talking, smiling and touching him is the hardest part.

    Hindi na niya hangad ang mahalin siya nang pabalik, ngunit mahirap tanggapin na siya ay nakalimutan na niya.

    "You're not alone anymore, Freed...you really don't need me anymore," nilapag niya ang wine glass sa mesa at mahigpit na napahawak dito.

    A few seconds later, Seth came back and the party goes on like how it was planned. It was a good thing that Seth was a good talker and she was able to divert somehow her attention although it was drawn back to Freed during his speech part. Hindi naman siguro maaring matapos ang gabing ito nang wala siyang part dahil isa siya sa pinaka importanteng guest.

    Nothing much had changed to Freed except that he changed his hairstyle and probably his grown firmer this time.

    She seemed lost with whole speech part and she was shocked when a girl approached the stage and went closer to Freed. Biglang naghiyawan ang mga guest, at naalala niya ang tungkol sa pagpapakasal nito.
