Aliyah

"Aliyah?" I heard from behind me.

I turned around and it was my ex behind me for the second time tonight. I looked at him before turning my back to him once again.

"Can we talk?"

I continued to ignore him as I mixed Mariah and I a drink she wanted.

"Please?" he begged. "I just want to talk,"

"How did you find out where I lived?" I asked him suddenly turning around.

"I, uh, have been researching you for the past couple of months and I saw that an address got leaked, so I took my chances," he explained.

"Well, how about you forget my address and leave me alone,"

"Just give me five minutes to talk,"

"How about you leave my house and forget where it is and leave me alone. I like that idea better than giving you five minutes to talk," I said taking both of the drinks and leaving him alone in the kitchen.

I made my way back over to Mariah and handed her one of the drinks. She took it from my hands before taking a drink.

"What took you so long?" she asked me.

"Jared tried talking to me," I answered.

"What do you mean he tried talking to you? He's here?" she said starting to freak out and look at our surroundings.

"He somehow found my address and showed up hoping we could talk. I told him I didn't want to and told him to leave me alone," I explained.

"That's good, he doesn't deserve anymore of your time,"

"Who doesn't deserve anymore of her time?" Niall asked suddenly showing up.

"Her ex. He found her address and is trying to talk to her," Mariah told him.

"Where is he? I'll get him to leave," Niall said as he starting looking around.

"It's fine. I already told him he had to leave and to forget where I lived. He should already be gone," I explained to him before he went off looking for him and stating any trouble.

"Are you sure?" He asked looking into my eyes.

"Yes, I'm very sure. We have nothing to worry about,"

"If there is any way that he is still here and haven't left, come find me. I'll make sure he is gone," Niall said before leaving.

"I swear it's as if you two were dating," Mariah laughed as soon as he left us alone again.

"Yeah, right," I laughed. "He just cares,"

"I think he cares a lot more than a friend does,"

"I'm glad that he cares more than a friend does. Imagine if he didn't care at all. I could have gotten myself into a lot of trouble without him,"

"I guess you're right then," she laughed.

"Please, can we talk? That's all I'm asking,"

"Why can't you just leave me alone? You've left me alone for three years, why is now any different?" I asked him.

"I just want to talk, that's it. I won't try anything, five minutes, that's all," he pleaded.

"Leave me alone! I don't want to talk to you! I don't want to see you! Just leave me alone for once!" I yelled at him.

"Please," he begged. "Can we talk alone for five minutes? I'll leave right after that. Just talk to me,"
